Anyone else watch nova this evening? It did seem to make a somewhat good case though at the same time seemed to duck confronting skeptic arguments directly or at least so it seemed to me. I am not following this at a level of detail that I feel competent to debate one way or another so I am curious for others' reactions.
I haven’t seen it, but I got a feeling that this video will address and counter whatever claims are made in Nova. It’s very good. It addresses the science and most importantly the politics behind the scam.

I was channel surfing and saw that it was going to be about “how weather develops and its effect on climate change” so I blew right past it. More leftard propaganda.
Since Climate Science is “settled” did they report what the correct median temperature of the earth is? Which single “Climate Model” did they settle on since it is now settled?
Some of the promos were bullshit. Also Bill Nye is being promoted in a special on TV. Don’t remember but it might have been POV or PBS.
However, the Wash. Post has been printing a lot of climate change garbage about “rising waters”, “new deserts”, etc.
Fools. I’ve got a background in science including Geology/Paleontology, Archaeology, and Anthropology. My bullshit antennae have been in orbit for the past several months (and not looking for aliens. Looking for intelligent life on Earth in the scientific community).
About a mile from where I live now, I lived in an apartment complex outside of DC. They found a dinosaur footprint while digging a trench for a new pipeline. The dinosaur could have come from the Cretaceous or Triassic Periods, since both formations are underlying where I lived/live and the Triassic redbeds with major dinosaur footprint “walks” are found in Culpepper, Va. (Been there. About 150 tracks on the same redbed surface - several different species).
My daughter and I found a Theropod toe-bone/foot bone off of Central Avenue on the DC Beltway where a Paleocene layer contained 5 species of shark teeth, Mosasaur teeth & vertebrae, many different species of fish teeth, gastropods, mollusks. Ammonoids and even a Cephalopod’s (squid-like) creature’s internal hard part, the Bellemnitella /Bellemnite (which is now in the Smithsonian).
Underlying that was a Cretaceous inland lake-like body of water with dinosaur bones (at least the one we found), alligator bones and scutes, turtle shell plates, one unusual configured shark specie’s teeth, and some shells.
Back in those days, between 65 Million and 120 Million, the DC Swamps were really jumping, and there are also coalbeds under the congressional office buildings/Supreme Court and the Capitol Building (and some of there possible Pennsylvanian Period lifeforms are still in Congress).
The concept of “Carry-out food” in those days was “Carrion Food”, fresh, not grilled.
Yes there has been climate change, only it took thousands or millions of years to happen. There is no “Instant Climate Change” as the left faux scientists want.
Read about the Maunder Minimum.... we are headed into a mini ice age

Yup and if there is were any warming I wouldn’t be shocked since I expect we’ve probably been warming since the last glacial period.
I also think it’s pretty goofy to think the world is supposed to have some kind of constant “normal” temperature to serve as a base of what is cool or warm. (e.g. the “earth has a fever” shtick)
"Intelligent life in Washington? Your theories are even weirder than ours, Mulder."
If it wasn’t for climate change, Chicago would still be under a mile of ice.
Steve- Man’s CO2 amonts to just 0.00156% of the atmosphere- nowhere near enough CO2 to ‘blanket the globe- preventing heat from escaping’- nowhere near enough-
Also- Temperatures ALWAYS rise first- then CO2 rises- temperatures rise 100’s of years before CO2 rises- it is the temperature rises that cause the release of CO2 which causes the rise in atmospheric CO2 levels
This proves that man is not causing climate change- it’s the sun- causing temperatures to rise- which in turn causes CO2 to rise-
This is something i bet nova didn’t tell you- correct? Ice core samples prove temperatures always rise first- then CO2- so there is no way CO2 is driving temperature rises
Second coldest start to April in 130 years.
Don’t sweat it. We’re still in an ice age. We should hope for warming.

And how well does that model predict the past?
Watched Nova from the beginning till around 15-20 years ago when it was apparent that they were just politicized crap. All public TV falls into that group
I get more from The Science Channel and Smithsonian Channel though occasionally they go to the dark side too. National Geographic Channel is as bad as public TV.
It is impossible to watch any mainstream documentary nowadays without being propagandized about "climate change" at some point, no matter how unrelated from climate the subject may be.
The salient point to keep in mind is:
It is not in question that climate change happens or that temperatures may be rising or falling over time, that will cause the planet to change. It does. The question is whether those changes are caused by man, and whether they will be catastrophic.
They aren't caused by man, and they may or may not be catastrophic no matter what we do or say.
Yes...National Geographic and Scientific American jumped the shark on climate, no doubt.
It started out with subtle lies and evolved into data manipulation about 30 minutes after that.
Just remember, “if it’s white, it’s steam.” and “emissions can’t be evaluated with the sun -behind- the plume”.
