Dustin Guess was working outside on a hog fence Thursday morning, he says, when two pit bulls began their attack.
But the two adult dogs one male and one female werent going after the man from West Fork, Arkansas. Instead, they were targeting Guess 4-year-old son, Matthew, according to Fox6. The female pit bull sunk its teeth into Matthews legs and started to drag him, police say, while the male dog attacked the toddlers face.
Guess told KNWA that he started to sprint toward his son with the hopes of separating him from the two vicious dogs. Its a memory that still haunts him, he said.
He said daddy, they had my face, he said. I couldnt win. . . .

Oh my goodness. I don’t think the dog can be trusted again....I would have had it put down. In fact, my cousin (who was a veterinary technician for many years), saw her son bring a pet pit bull he adopted home for a visit. The dog lunged at a grandaughter (just a toddler) during that visit and someone grabbed the dog just in time. She told her son, if you don’t get that dog euthanized, you will likely have a tragedy on your hands some point in the future, possibly with another child. He did get the dog put down.
I will shoot my own dog myself, in cold blood, if it seriously attacks one of my grandchildren. I have even less concern for other folks’ dogs.
Just being flippant.
Your dad was done, he stuck a fork in it didn’t he?
I appreciate your insight but I cannot see the asset of a dog that preys, especially on little children, so many times. It sickens me to see these maimed children and I will always support the euthanasia of pitbulls no matter their lineage.
Very well; you probably should have and share this information link.

Why no police report? That sure hasnt been my experience

I enjoyed your above quotes, thank you. As both are Biblical, we must of course act accordingly.
If you have seen these dogs in action, you will remember that they are very, very fast. . .
I don’t know, the Mother of the baby dealt with her Sister on this. The 12 hours around that time, I just waited in the hospital or drove to it. I never asked a question about the dog. I made declarative statements. Something about a 9 MM and lead poisoning. The dog was one Daughters, the other was the Mother of the baby. The dog was rehomed, believe it or not.
My standard American bulldog bit my then 10 year old in 2012
He had 11 stitches
And we had several deputy interviews and hospital reports
Had the wound required over 24 hour hospital stay the dog would have been euthanized by the county
Had I been home I likely would have shit the dog, Ive put down dogs before
My son begged me not to
I gave the dog to a breeder and he lived out his days as a sire for American bulldogs in France
A champion
Not a good family dog though
Ive owned many big guard type breeds since the 60s
A number have nipped folks here and there but that was the only real wound ever
And it continues. Glad to see it didn’t get the girls.
Truly the dog that bit my granddaughter had no chance. He was often chained to the outside deck post, while sleeping in the kitchen to stay warm. He was a rescue, the previous owners had inexpertly “docked” ears and tail. I was told that he just bit, no shaking occurred. He just took a bite and pulled back calmly. My daughter was one step away and there was not even a bark or a growl. It was like the dog had scratched an itch. No rancor or intent. He just took a bite. Of course his head was huge, and his mouth could hold a soccer ball.
