Me too. Talk about a crappy ending. They killed off Glen and saved Negan? Yuck.
I’m afraid they are going to lose me after the next season’s opener. With the “democrats” and their snowflake misfits acting up the way they are, I’m not in the mood for another DIY home and gardening show about flipping the zombie apocalypse with old 33 1/3 RPM record albums. I guess Lowe’s and Home Depot will be added as sponsor. I don’t need to know how to make a windmill.
It was a big herd of walkers.

I was talking to a guy the other night that reads the comics. He said it’s wacked, that Carl won’t be in the series anymore - the heir to the leadership role in the comics apparently.
That being said, I watched the first episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" last night. I said, "Well, I'll just see the first 10 minutes or so, figure out what they do with Morgan, more out of morbid curiosity than anything else...". Wound up getting sucked into the show and staying up way later than I should have. It was better-written, IMO, than anything the Walking Dead has done in a couple of years.
I quit watching "Fear" last season, I might need to get back into it.
I’ve got to say.. I don’t agree with Rick’s opinion. I fully understand the concept of not killing everybody. If civilization is to start to renew.. they will need people to do it. However, Neegan is spared? I have to say that right now there is Team Maggie vs Team Rick (in philosophy) and I side with Maggie. She agreed with Rick sparing the lowly Saviors but you have to take out the true savage (Neegan) to not only allow some healing but for everyone to be fully aware that they have the opportunity to start over. This could have been accomplished even with Neegan being killed. Neegan will be jailed for life... so people will have to stand guard 24/7 and he will simply bide his time. At the end of last night’s episode, I went away thinking, “Neegan won... he divided the groups. He divided what was united.’
Was not able to get into “Fear the Walking Dead” from the beginning.
Haven’t even watched the finale yet, that’s how unexcited I am about this season. But based on reading that Negan is spared...clearly we are moving into blurring of good vs evil. It may not be watchable for me next season.
I just dropped a show for shoving DACA down my throat.
Within just a few episodes, though, it deteriorated into a clone of Walking Dead. No more "figuring it out" - it was like the writers got bored and decided to skip ahead. Just hordes of Zombies and various bad guys to deal with. Ho Hum. I lost interest.
But last night's episode did get my attention. I'll likely check it out, see if they managed to jumpstart something, here.
I expect that I'll walk away from The Walking Dead. Basically have no interest in it. Last night was anticlimactic - what little I watched of it. Mrs WBill is only marginally interested, as well.
It’s the liberal way, we must all show mercy for mass killers.
I cant figure out the hate for Negan. Hes the best character on the show. He will turn into a special advisor to Rick going forward. Rick will need to learn from Negan.
Yep. I’m with Maggie.
I guess what really annoyed me is that Carl’s death is now more significant than Glen’s death. At least that is how I see it. Rick is allowing Carl’s letters to become almost “biblical” in nature and negating Glen’s death. I see it as truly selfish on Rick’s part.
I think you are right.
I do agree with Carl that there has to be something “after”. But to me, the answer would be capital punishment for Neegan, and some kind of probationary period for all of his minions.
Putting Neegan in a cell for the rest of his life is just a waste of people (guards) and resources. In addition, it gives him the opportunity to escape later on. After all of the harm that he’s done to so many people, that’s too big a risk, IMO.
Finally watched the finale. I would have to say the best parts were Eugene’s “double cross” with his munitions and Maggie plotting against Rick.
I know that Negan remains alive in the comic books, but this was such a let down to me. Glen and Abraham died at Negan’s hands, yet Coral is running the show from the grave. I’ll see what the new season bring, I’ll give it 3 episodes.
Let me know if you and Mrs. wbill continue on :)
I finally got to watch the season finale today and like you, am disappointed. I've been waiting since the bastard first showed up to get his just desserts. I can't imagine how Rick and Michonne expect to keep Negan alive, in light of all the people he's killed, and lives he's destroyed. I'm about ready to pull the plug on this series. Someone on this thread said that Negan stays alive in the comic, but people have also said that the TV series hasn't been true to the comic in other cases. I don't know if I can handle all this bleeding-heart liberal, hunky-dory crap. Every single Savior should have been killed, starting with Negan, and including Eugene. He's a worthless POS.
I have to agree with you, the vacillating between kill or don't kill each season has been driving me crazy. How did Carl go from being a shoot first, ask questions later young boy, to a teenage 60's peacenik? Where the hell did that come from? Either you want to survive or you don't. Just watched the finale today. Not sure if I'll be watching the 9th season. Don't feel like puking over the love-in that's probably planned.
Ditto here.
