Am I correct in recollecting that, at a campaign rally in 2016, when the chant “Lock Her Up” began Trump said, “Oh, I will. Believe me.”?
We watched most of the rallies that got televised. In the beginning, he would not react. He would walk away from the microphone and hold his hands up in a quelling way. Didn’t deny the chant, but did not encourage it either.... according to my recollection, he eventually did do as you state, as the time for the election came nearer.
