This is pathetic and funny. No 2 ways about it. Of course, liberalism is pathetic and funny so...

I think having baseballs would be better. Throwing something at a shooter is better when you have to deal with range.

Are there nothing but midgets
in that school?
I guess they could take a shooter
out by whacking his knees.

So, these alleged "weapons of war" that the left wants to ban are so terrible an assailant can be rendered inert with a wooden stick?

The Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA) needs to be repealed immediately. Everyone can decide for themselves what solution to institute.

That’s not even a good sized Billy Club.
The other downside is all it would take is one juvenile delinquent troublemaker to snatch it from the teacher and then use it on the teacher.
Good intent, poor execution of goal.
This reminds me of two weeks back, when I heard some principal was providing full buckets of ROCKS for the teacher and students to defend themselves against any future gunman.
Too tempting for students to use against another student or perhaps a defenseless window pane.

If that is the plan, they should purchase full-sized aluminum bats! Stupid idea, propagated by stupid Academic Bureaucrats... FAIL! Wait for the kid with a psychosis to grab one and start whoopin' ass.

Apparently, what is now known as a "miniature baseball bat" is the same thing that
used to be called a "billy club".
I guess "billy club" is not PC enough ths days - far more PC than some of the other terms I've heard to describe such an implement, but still not PC enough for today's snowflakes.

Why baseball bats? Why not paperclips?
The answer requires simple logic.
They’d laugh at my suggestion of paperclips, saying a bat could provide much better defense... correct.
But when you’re battling someone with a GUN, you might as well use a paperclip. You’re weapon of defense is WAY behind theirs.
A child could reason this out.. why cant democrats?

15 kids in a classroom and no one thinks of throwing their books? Everyone flinches...and that's all the time you need to pounce.
What stupid people.
