She is leaning toward Air Force. I heard it’s harder to get in now but she’s an honor student and squeaky clean so maybe not for her.

I really hammered it into the kids about not enlisting until someone better than The Won is in office. Cowardly? Maybe. If Trump stays for eight years and no war in Syria(I think something else is going on maybe just wishful thinking)maybe.

If she decides to do it she’s going to have to get in shape or she’ll get recycled. We aren’t the healthiest family so she may not even pass the physical.

She is leaning toward Air Force.

A relative of mine got to experience a bit of the USAF and USN as well as the Army (long story). He'd probably put the Army at the bottom, but a female can make the right Army MOS a decent career.

Have her check out the Coast Guard before she commits.

I tried to convince my GD to enlist. She has a bachelor’s and is a COTA and wants to become an M.D.. Her boyfriend is graduating from mechanic’s school and I’m sure he’d be in demand.

In the AF she won't be flying, so not in harms way. We have bases all over the world and after 2 years she can pretty much ask for an assignment. If I could do it again I would go AF, see the world, do my 20 years, get out with a great pension and medical for life. Then go into my chosen field and do another 20. Hey 2 pensions and medical for life 😁

Has she looked into the Coast Guard Academy? We have had good students that got full ride scholarships to get college education and they come out of school as officers. It’s based on merit - don’t have to get some politico to send a letter etc.
