In the AF she won't be flying, so not in harms way. We have bases all over the world and after 2 years she can pretty much ask for an assignment. If I could do it again I would go AF, see the world, do my 20 years, get out with a great pension and medical for life. Then go into my chosen field and do another 20. Hey 2 pensions and medical for life 😁

She has already talked about retiring at 38.
If she can hack it, might be good.
I can die in peace and trust that my kids will be fine.
Sometimes I wish I would have done it.
I chickened out but that’s not necessarily a bad thing because I was a morally bankrupt idiot back in the day.
If I could go back knowing what I know now and pretty much straightened out I wouldn’t change anything because then I might not have my kids and they mean everything to me.

IF she can put up with the USAF's PCCS for 20 years; I wouldn't -- and, didn't... And I'm eternally glad I didn't even consider doing so.
(And, I was in one of the best, "elite" USAF units that was immune from the base-level CS...)
