Mixing Bleach and Drano (or is it ammonia?) creates Phosgene.

Neither lye or ammonia + bleach makes phosgene a poisonous gas. Phosgene a weaponized gas in WWI is more complex.

Bleach and lye releases Chlorine gas, same with vinegar+Bleach.

Bleach and ammonia produces chloramine vapors that are toxic.

I appreciate the chem lesson, xone. Phosgene is REALLY horrible stuff. I did recognize that name as a WWI weapon.
