Of course the MyPillow guy has a story -- and it's wilder than you think

Interesting story. Always glad to read about someone turning their life around and giving God the credit for it. As I don't have Cable TV, I had no idea he didn't pull his advertising from Laura Ingraham's show. Sounds like a good, solid guy IMO who made a business decision based on what was best for his business, and not politics. I can respect that. That's how it should be.

These leftards that insist on running everyone that isn't in lockstep agreement with them out of business or out of a job need to be stopped.

I hear him on a late night talk show a couple of months ago. Helluva story.

Lindell is quite open about it all and wants his story spread far and wide as testimony to what God can do..

They are not impressive ‘in person’ on the shelf. But my husband has the firm one and I have the less firm and we both love sleeping on them. I think what makes them so different is that you can “adjust” them. I will definitely buy them again.

I thought I had read where he donated a bunch of pillows to the Houston hurricane people in shelters last year.

I called the company to place my order for the MY PILLOW special. I was place on hold for a while. The music on hold was “Amazing Grace” and not just instrumental, but verbal with all the verses! That tells me more about him and his company than anything else: here is a man and his company that knows both the depths of sin and the freedom of sins forgiven. “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound/ That saved a wretch like me. / I once was lost, but now am found,/ Was blind but now I see.” (John Newton, 1779)

Wasn’t it mentioned if you mentioned Sean Hannity’s name you get two pillows for $50. Certainly go online and look for 2 for l offers on these pillows if you are interested in buying. I never bit on the offers coz’ I prefer down/feather mixture pillows. I like the fact the “my pillows” are advertised as washable. I have to toss my down pillow periodically, AND every once in a while you get stuck with a quill that manages to make a dash for freedom.

The pillow’s main design flaw is as your head sinks down, the sides rise up and suffocate your nose.

Regular foam from Hobby Lobby, the big piece, can be cut up for a custom fit.

“The Salvation Army is a good organization...The Red Cross is pretty much useless.”

I remember two of my Uncles saying the same thing during WW II. The Salvation Army was always at the docks for returning troop carriers giving out free cups of tea, doughnuts, and blankets. The Red Cross charged you sixpence for tea or doughnuts and no blankets to returning troops. Also, the Salvation Army doesn’t pay huge salaries and perks to their Managers.

Based on Freeper recommendations from this same thread which was posted earlier this week I went to WalMart and bought a MyPillow.

There is no comparison to anything I’ve used before. I it truly the best pillow to ever nest my head. Best 3 nights of sleep I’ve had in years.

I’m saving up Walgreen points to get one. I have bulging discs in my neck...so worth it to me if I can get a good sleep and a stiff-free morning.

unbelievable a dealer would not take his $

A drug dealer doesn't have to be a black guy working out of an abandoned house in the ghetto. They're in virtually every level of society and many of them are personal friends of the addict.

So it's totally believable that his source finally said enough and cut him off.......

I respect Mike Lindell for what he's accomplished and sharing his story of addiction with the world. It should also be noted that the Salvation Army appears to have played a role in his recovery.......

I’ve seen those pillows for sale at Bad Breath and Beyond. Not impressed.

That's the down side of them. They look and feel like a cheap pillow. My previous pillows were Pacific Coast. They were similarly priced at around $60/King. The PC pillows are very well made, like you would expect from a $60 pillow. Made in USA with better materials, better stitching, piping, etc. The MP looks like a lumpy piece of crap that costs $10 at Walmart. But the MP is the one I sleep on, as it is more comfortable and doesn't flatten out so quickly. BB&B was great, as I tried the medium for a week, then returned it for a firm.

“Is anyone but me bothered by the cross he wears outside of his shirt?”

Not bothered by the cross. Bothered by any necklace, earring, etc., worn by a guy.

And some people spend thousands to get tickets to major sporting events. ‘

All of can point to things we would never spend so much money on, that other people are eager to make such expenditures.

continuous BOGO is indeed an unethical and often illegal marketing tactic, but i think almost all late night television advertising does this.

I recently got a BOGO deal with buying vitamins and canned goods in the supermarket. Is buy one get one free really illegal in some circumstances?

I’m sure they do it on informercials, to get you excited about what a great deal you are getting, so you pick up the phone or go online to order right now.

Pillows like matresses are individual preferences. I’ve tried various pillows at different price ranges, but the My Pillow works well for me. It does stand up to being washed where other pillows I’ve tried lose resiliency after being washed. If you have allergies washing your pillow often is important to get rid of dust mites. I also like it is made in the US just a few miles from where I live. Mike Lindell is an American success story and a man of deep faith...even more reasons to buy his pillow.

“Is buy one get one free really illegal in some circumstances?”

depends upon state law. in some states, advertising a “sale” price that isn’t REALLY a sale price is indeed illegal as it’s essentially a fraudulent advertising practice. A fake sale is one in which the product is never actually sold at a higher “regular” price ... in other words, the regular price is being advertised as a “sale” price ...
