The pillow salesman had so much crack cocaine pounding through his bloodstream he hadn't slept for two weeks, he would later say. Even the drug dealers were counseling Mike Lindell to slow down.
It was March 2008, and the Minneapolis-area entrepreneur's life was in free fall. Marriage broken. House lost. Business - a company he started four years earlier called MyPillow - struggling. Two weeks into this particular hot-wired bender, Lindell went to his usual drug dealers for a fix. But the guys had already put word out on the street: no one sell to Lindell until he sleeps.
"They were three of the biggest dealers in the cities," Lindell recounted to the Salvation Army in 2015. "They refused to sell to me again. One of them tried babysitting me until I fell asleep."
Instead, he snuck outside to score elsewhere. But no one wanted his business. Lindell waved around a $100 bill for $5 worth of crack. Nothing. He tried to hide his distinct mustache behind his hand. No luck.
"I get back to the apartment, and [the dealer] is sitting there, and he goes, 'How'd that work out for you?'" Lindell explained to CNBC last September. His dealer picked up Lindell's phone and snapped a photo of the addict's face - walking dead skin tone, disheveled hair, mug shot scowl. It was a memento of what it looked like at rock bottom.
Lindell got clean the next year, and powered ahead with MyPillow, turning an idea plucked from a dream into a successful international business claiming nearly 30 million sales. For years he struggled against addiction and long business odds. Today, Lindell finds himself up against a political backlash.
Last week, Fox News host Laura Ingraham hopped on Twitter to blast David Hogg, the Parkland massacre survivor turned to gun

That “seams” like a punny story. Did your sleep satisfaction inCREASE when you used it?
My daughter gave me a My Pillow travel pillow ...I sleep on my side and use a small pillow...Love it.
Inspirational story. Thank you!
I was hoping to have some feedback about how good these pillows are. I think I might take the plunge and buy a couple of them. What makes the difference?
Mine did!
Hes not forcing anyone to buy the pillows as a service rendered. The lousy, corrupt Govt. forces us to pay taxes much of which is for no services rendered. My tax bill is big from 2017. Theres not enough middle fingers to salute the Federal beast with but Mike Lindell the job creator is ok by me.
Use code LARRY (Larry Elder) for the discount. Four regular size pillows for like $99. Two deluxe and two regulars. Haven’t jumped yet since we have about two dozen pillows in the house currently. LOL!
Amen!
Maybe someone has run a double blind experiment?
Ive seen those pillows for sale at Bad Breath and Beyond. Not impressed.
Will he give back to the dealer community he kept him from killing himself? Seems he owes one of them a debt of gratitude. Thats the most interesting part.
Sensationalized story - unbelievable a dealer would not take his $
Melatonin.
It may seem like it at first, because I always bought cheap pillows and replaced them frequently. Then I splurged and bought expensive pillows to go with our new mattress. So worth the money! Great support, firm but not like sleeping on a rock, great sleep and no more neck and back pains. If you can swing it, treat yourself!
You can adjust the shape of the pillow to suit how you are sleeping. I adjust the middle like a curved foam pillow for sleeping on my back. I fluff the sides so that if I roll over on either side, my neck is straight. Also, they are machine washable, and you have to machine dry them. Every time we do that, it is like they were just taken out of the original bag.
There is a sizing chart on the site so you can pick the correct fill density.
continuous BOGO is indeed an unethical and often illegal marketing tactic, but i think almost all late night television advertising does this.
BTW, the best-quality and least-expensive-for-the-quality 100% goose down pillows I ever found was from Costco, but looks like it was one of those one-time deals, as they no longer have the ones I bought. Glad I went back right away and bought a bunch once I realized how good they were.
The best pillow ever for the head/neck area are the buckwheat hull pillows. Best price is to have them delivered to your local Walmart:

really, I can’t say enough good things about buckwheat hull pillows. I’ve been using them for at least 20 years. If you have neck problems from sleeping, it doesn’t cost much to give one of these a try, especially if you are a side sleeper.
“I didn’t pay $50, I got it from a drug dealer from MN...heh, heh, heh:) {It’s a bad joke}.”
actually, one of the best jokes i’ve seen here lately!
That he made the offer or that they refused him?
In totalitarian communist fashion Media Matters is keeping a complete list of Ingraham's sponsors who quit and are probably actively trying to destroy her speech, and this outlet is running a deep piece on one vendor who wouldn't quit.
This is hate people.
We tried everything else short of cpap, including that. What the heck, the pillow worked for us.
