Way back in the Old South there was so much prejudice against Jews that the Confederate Secretary of State was Jewish. Judah P. Benjamin did joke that he asked his parents why they named him “Judah” when they could have just branded “Jew” across his forehead.

I was not aware of that about Secretary of State Benjamin. Thanks for this great piece of History.

I just watched Spielberg's movie about Lincoln. There was nothing else on. I find that his movies are as void of Historical Accuracy as the author of this thread.

Bullshit

You sound just like the OP

It’s so hard being Jewish and all in America and all

Poor me

Still crying cause the country club blackballed me for having a Jewish last name

This is ridiculous

We are now considering Jews victims in America...the most successful sub groups there is?

I’ll tell you why some fall for that tripe because being victim class beats anything

Yeah Jews were so persecuted in Dixie.....that’s a effing canard

Read about it

South Carolina in particular

First and only anti semitism I ever witnessed was against Jewish freedom riders who were never the saints portayed by the media....and it wasn’t just cause they were Jewish

This is indicative of our decline

This crap article on whhat should be the country’s premier website
