Back in the early 1960s, I saw “White only” and “Colored only” signs on drinking fountains and bathrooms but never Gentiles Only signs. New one for me.
he never got reparations, or $20,000, or PTSD pension for life, nor much of anything else....
he ended his childhood to save the world and I could care less if somebody 70 yrs later claims they had hurt feelings during the big war....
I'm sure any GI alive could tell stories about "hurt feelings"...the blood, the guts, the missing limbs, the dying...
Leftists must always seek to blame Americans for almost everything.
I have been saddened and disgusted by the amount of antisemitism I see in the comments section of Zero Hedge. It makes me wonder if they are neo-Nazis or Muslims posting on their board. What idiots!!
" Them are your Dago cousins we are fighting"
We can also talk about African Americans and Native Americans who were discriminated against yet served valiantly during wartime.
So we’re now gonna attack the American soldiers who defeated the Nazis by calling them anti-Semites?
Germany was destroyed. What more to you want?
"Juden. Juuuuuuuden."
Jews were discriminated socially in America many years ago. I assure you down in the dirt grunts did not give a damn about your religion nor race as long as you were their warrior brother. It is really that damn simple. They laid down their lives for each other on the beaches of Normandy, the skies over Germany and the long march to Germany to defeat the evil. They were warrior brothers.
ps
Funny story about a P47 pilot friend of mine, now sadly deceased. His aircraft got shot up pretty bad over Italy and he was just trying to get back to base. Some German fighters were trying to kill him, he was in big trouble.
He was on the radio calling for help. It was some fighters from the black Red Tail Squadron that saved his ass. My friend was a Southern Boy from Louisiana. I asked him how he felt about being saved by black pilots. He said, “those (N word) looked damn good to him that day.” He lost his prejudice he grew up with in battle over Italy. He did use the N word but not in prejudice but that was just what he was and the way he spoke. He was a good man.
I see many comments on the internet regarding Anti_Semitism mostly due to Hollywood elites such as Woody Allen, Rivera, and many others in the past who are part of the left that have an intense disdain for anything that’s to the right or Christian. They support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party that support Arab States intent on destroying Israel. If they really believe in what they say, why do they insist on keeping themselves separate, but everyone else should give up their identity that’s Anglo-Saxon?

There was antisemitism in the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s. I never knew. You could find other groups as well. Ethnic and racial bias was far more acceptable than it is today.
And no, I don't mean to suggest that there's less racism today than 50-60 years ago in the US. There is, but I'd be a racist to suggest a fack.
It was a different country back then. Jews were in cities and many of our fighting boys came from very rural backgrounds with a very limited idea of Jews. Don’t laugh but Neil Simon’s play/movie Biloxi Blues explores this. My dad was with the Dixie Division and he was made fun of for being a Brooklyn boy. But when they were all in the jungle together, those boys saved his life because of their skills. I doubt my father could read a compass!
Yea, well, most of them came home to support Adlai Stevenson, then Carter and Obama, three of the worst people who ever ran for President. I am done with US Jewry other than the Hasidim.

Band of Brothers even referenced this when Guarnere made a remark about Jews that Liebgott took offense to.
My understanding is that exchange never took place in reality, but was inserted into the series.
This is news?
The posted article states that the documentary premieres on April 11. Would anyone know where it will be shown?
