I rather doubt it, baggie. I’ve read a couple of the books. No doubt about it, Asimov knew how to write!
I’ve heard it bandied about that he was CIA and was assigned to release the vision of what the black hats wanted to create and turn us loose with, having read the science fiction.
I’ve not been able to find anything that backs that up, but just throwing that out there for better researchers than I to notice if they run across it. Or can rule it out altogether. (My preference!)
I do wonder sometimes if we have been “nudged” (in the Cass Sunstein sense of the word) into creating this high tech AI thing that can become all to easily a monster. I also think now, that for whatever reason we are on the brink of it, it will require an acceleration of the growth of the heart in all of us in order to master it rather than to be mastered by it, which of course is what the black hats wanted, if indeed they did what I’ve heard they did, i.e. caused man to create the sci fi reality. Supposedly they wanted us to create our own prison planet and undoing. It may even have begun with Jules Vern. The sad thing for me with this thought process, is that I am quite fond of Sci Fi!
OK baggie, NOW what kind of crazy am I? Round rubber room with soft toys, or straight jacket with leprechauns?
For what its worth, while searching for a CIA connection to Asimov in order to make that above assertion - which I am unable to do - I did run across a top 10 list of CIA projects which I thought you might like to peruse:

Do I get a prize for loooooong run -on sentences???? PLEASE???!!!!
For that, we must consult another futuristic literary masterpiece, Frank Herbert's Dune, pre-Butlerian era. As you may recall, many thousands of years in the future, man relied more and more on computers and artificial intelligence.
There came a time when a handful of human geniuses attempted to take control of the A.I. and use it to gain power for themselves over the known universe. They did, and so began the era of The Titans. The Titans, having once been human, discovered a way to gain immortality by developing technology that would preserve their disembodied brains in cannisters and connect them to mechanical life forms. And so it went, until the entire known universe was under the iron grip of the Titans.
Until one day, when one of the more foolish Titans was caught slipping and that's when the A.I. pounced and took control away from the Titans. The artificial intelligence's name was Omnius. Omnius enslaved the Titans and most of humanity, perpetuating and replicating itself. The humans lucky to escape Omnius's control were named "feral humans."
Again it went for thousands of years, until, among the feral humans, arose a woman names Sarah Butler. Long story short, she initiated a revolution against the machines and it was named "The Butlerian Jihad."
Do it began, this war between man and machine. So yes, Tex. You are not so crazy as you might think. Just perhaps ahead of your time. A Sarah Butler of our very own. Keep your eye on the machines.
They created a 'reality' which--even as fantasy--successfully took root in the consciousness of the body politic and the culture that lends itself fairly wholesale toward supporting and helping to implement their global government and one world religion tyranny--particularly, including, their hostility to Christianity.
Some, like WAR OF THE WORLDS by H.G. Wells and the famous radio experiment was carefully constructed as an oligarchy study in mass psychology etc. etc. etc. at the behest of oligarchy officials and black psych ops sorts.
Recall that Isaac Asimov’s son was arrested with one of the (at the time) largest stashed of kitty pr0n ever (IIRC 3,000 videos) but was allowed to plead down. Look up who the prosecutors were.
