I think you can also go to the Florida board. Not sure you can post there as an out of stater, but I think you can scroll and see who are the FReepers in the state.
I have found a way to post on the FR board for FReepers in a state other than mine:
I temporarily change my location to that particular state. I have used this technique to get advice from the people there when I am planning a trip to their state. I post my questions, explain how I am there just temporarily, and ask them to respond to me through FReemail. It has worked very well in getting great local knowledge. FReepers are so smart and so willing to help others.
