The entire soundtrack is worth your while. Real music.
Wow, that gave me chills. I’ve never heard of Colin Frake. What’s the story? I saw he the composer or conductor? What orchestra is this? Has he been around a long time?
I hear overtones of traditional English carols and ballads in that piece.
Thanks for posting this. This is going to be a new acquisition.
Noum.
Real music indeed. Thanks for sure.

I had never heard of him either; but it is nice to hear someone composing and performing ‘real music’, for a change...

Fire on the Mountain, Marshall Tucker Band.
Agree with that!
Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix who comprise Two Steps from Hell are the composers. The bulk of the orchestral work is Bergersen’s.
When this comes rolling out of my Audio Research driven Magneplanar 3.7is, it is stunning.
This was composed for an e-book written by Nick Phoenix.
That’s also the Sofia Session Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Beautiful!
This guy is great, thanks for posting. I usually find my favorite performers after they’re dead. I will get some of his music.
Bergersen is a young man, just 38. He’s only beginning to hit his creative stride. Suggest you take a listen to the 2015 relesae, “Battlecry”. There’s a whole new world of listening there.
It must be amazing to realize that even though you are just one “little” musician in that group, you are an integral part of something so LARGE.
Funny you mention that...I’ve always had the same impression. You watch each musician with their intense concentration on their own small part, but the whole sound is amazing.
