Pinging the List.
The weather forecast for Sunday is for 5-8 inches of snow.
There is a 3-book series by Jeff Lowenfels. “Teaming With Microbes”, “Teaming With Nutrients”, and “Teaming With Fungi”. I’m still working my way through them, but the fungi one has some information in it that changed my crop rotation plans, and also describes ways to make crops more resistant to drought. Given that there’s a drought expected this summer, I highly recommend getting these books!
Here!
Hope to get the onion bulbs in this weekend. Expecting rain on Monday so it would be nice to get them some rainwater right off. We’ll see how much room I can make for some part of 100 bulbs.
Can I keep some onion bulbs until next year? I’ve heard no.
Not great, but not terrible weather here in Central Missouri this week.
Got Nanner home from the tractor doc on Friday. Everything that got worked on is working right. Started moving pond dirt to the sippy hole yesterday and blew a hydraulic hose. So... I cleaned up the shop enough to get Nanner inside and called it a day.
Spent most of today fiddling with it. There’s not enough space to fit the replacement hose into the space where the original hose came out, so I used a piece of old garden hose to mock up a re-routed replacement. I’ll get that made up tomorrow and be back in business in no time.
I was hoping to get a couple loads of horse poo today, but oh well...
Our crocuses are up and happy. Not for long tomorrow expect 8-14 inches of snow
