Perhaps most consequential for Robert Mueller’s investigation, sources said Trump has discussed a plan to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions. According to two Republicans in regular contact with the White House, there have been talks that Trump could replace Sessions with E.P.A. Administrator Scott Pruitt, who would not be recused from overseeing the Russia probe. Also, as an agency head and former state attorney general, Pruitt would presumably have a good shot at passing a Senate confirmation hearing.

The recuser-in-chief can redeem himself by un-recusing himself and closing this circus down. Any conservative lawyer worth his salt could prepare the legal explanation and political talking points.
It almost seemed like the Mueller went after The Trump Organization’s records in response to McCabe’s treatment.
Sessions will never fire Mueller.
They told us they could do nothing because they had no power. We gave them the Senate, then the House, then the Presidency. The Dems still seem to be in control. What will it take? (Rhetorical question.) They are all the same, and Trump is US. They are not going to give it up without a fight. All Trump can do is expose the evil to sunlight. Without the bleating media bandwagon going along it is as if nothing happened. It may be up to us to act. I hope not, but I won’t go back without a fight.

Trump decided early on to let Mueller run his course. Firing him now would look much worse than firing him earlier. It would also help the Democrats in the midterms.

I doubt it will happen, but hope springs eternal, and it is the reason that Christians, 'turn the other cheek'... until we begin to shoot back.
Mueller can easily be fired for cause. I say do it.
