He would be the 21st congress critter to not stand for re-election. I looked back at the numbers. Generally 5-10 members do not stand for re-election in any given election. Makes one wonder why the increase. ;)

Ok this makes me think that either [2] or [3] might be Ryan since he’s 2nd or 3rd in line to the presidency depending on if you count the president himself. That would make [2] Biden instead of McCain? [4] would be turtle man... But there would be no [19] as there aren’t that many cabinet positions in the succession list.
So I’ve talked myself out of it. But this is still interesting...maybe he was one of the [19] in the room?
