Cade loses out, I think he lost a lot of ground this week. Do agree when he is on he is quite the entertainer, but last night , at least to me, proved stay safe, highlight your voice, and less is better.
Gabby, Maddie, and certainly Cade all did that.
Michael was great on second song, but first one was so different for him, and to my old ears, harder to follow.

These judges are the worst..... Same old cliches..... no real critique... I think they know they are neutered by the new format, and blew it with their saves and “ america got it wrong “ play...

Catie blew it, but had she not forgotten her lyrics, she might still be in and Michael gone. He was very mediocre last night.
Caleb had an exceptional night and I think overshadowed Gabby. Will voters keep two country singers. Not likely, they will split votes, imo. Next week is critical for them. I think one of them goes next week.

I read that site after our thread to see what the “ take” is. Certainly a lot of disappointed Journee fans.
Agree on the danger of split votes. Gabby/ Maddie to me have the highest probability of that happening thats why it will be interesting to see if it’s those 2 and whomever in the final 3 where 1 of them will go .
Seriously though, I think America got it spot on by sending Jurnee and Catie home. I have liked both at times, but Jurnee's tone just grates on my ear drums, and Catie made a fatal error.
As for the coming week, Unless she implodes, I think Maddie is pretty much a lock for the Finale. She is unique and has shown the most versatility and consistency.
Michael firmly made a niche for himself and probably has the current leg up for the Finale, but only by a whisker.
I think Caleb and Gabby are right there with Michael, but I also think they are splitting voted on the country side of the house.
Cade could be the wildcard -- if he puts together two blow your socks off performances he could sneak in, but his inconsistency is a big hindrance.
I do think with it being a big country night thanks to Carrie Underwood mentoring that Caleb or Gabby could have a slight upper hand over Michael, but I also think one of the two will have to clearly beat the other to break free of the vote split.
Gabby is also in danger of splitting votes with Maddie, depending on what songs she chooses. She crosses over a bit. Michael was so lackluster last week and I’m not sure he can do country and pull it off.
Michael seems to like to do show tunes.
I was watching some Britain’s got Talent last night on youtube and its easy to drift into other areas and I saw an older X Factor. Why is it that so many feel a need to do the diva songs and just because there are big notes, they want to scream at the top of their lungs? Screaming doesn’t equal singing. Most want to over sing.

This is good news. It’s been a terrible winter and spring for the little ones. My 7 year old grand has missed 7 days of school due to sickness...she caught every virus going down the pike! Here’s to a healthy summer for all our little ones!

The judges have their baby pics in front of their faces. Luke was adorable. Katy was apparently born with the Craazee Eyes. Lionel was pretty cute too.
Jurnee is up. Turning away from the screen to enjoy my Paul Prudhomme recipe meatloaf, she sounds average to weak. Looking at her, she’s so cute she sounds better.

However, the male judges did give him really good notes. He needs to get out of his head and just perform. I still like michael, just not that song for him.
