I enjoy the version by ‘Steve ‘N Seagull. Check out on YouTube. That said, some thirty years or so ago we had thunder snow here. They predicted 3 inches, we got 24. Shut our town down for 4 or 5 days, till it all melted. National Guard called in to clear the roads.

Now there's no need to bring Burt Reynolds into this....besides, you may have just triggered Eric Holder or something.....

I *LOVE* the weather and will brave almost anything but thundersnow creeps me out.
Something about not knowing where the stuff is and how close it is or what direction it’s going in is really weird.

Yesterday, in my locale, we had SUNNY SKIES and a SNOWSTORM driven by 30-40 mph winds.So...after that comment I had to look and sure enough, Missouri - we had the same :) You must be close.

Thundersnow doesn’t bother me at all (we get it once in a while around here in the “mid-south”). I find it a nifty experience. However, a few years ago we had a full-on (not severe, just strong) thunderstorm which was dumping heavy freezing(!) rain on us. THAT (the combo of considerable wind, lightning & thunder, and, oh, something in the neighborhood of 1/2 to 3/4” of rain an hour rate, with much of that freezing), was rather impressive. We were driving — Luckily ground temps were still above freezing until it had, like a typical thunderstorm, blown through. So, we got home ok.
I would venture to guess that the chance of that sort of storm just stalling in one area for a couple hours are VERY low, but I would not want to drive into the latter part of such an event should it happen!

I’ll be here at the Taco Bell all week.

Or cat.
George T. Cat tries to burrow underneath us when there is thunder. Or someone knocks real loudly at the door.
