Is Netflix worth the subscription?
Another show that, instead of going for originality, attempts to hijack an already existing fan base and spitting on them by calling it a “contemporary” remake.
Ozark is real swell, right up to the point where one male FBI agent is giving another male FBI agent a BJ. I shut it off. I am baffled at the love this show gets from FReepers.
Oooh,Julie Newmar...played a very tempting
devil on Twilight Zone.
Used to watch LIS as a kid.Thought it was dumb back then.
Now Wild Wild West that was great.Ruined that remake too.
Just because Ill probably be corrected, I believe it was actually the case that the black FBI guy broke up with his white boyfriend, so the white guy got a BJ from a male prostitute. And, Im given to understand there was more gay shit to boot.
I lasted less than 20 minues in the Get Shorty TV series because of an onscreen male/male BJ. In all my years of watching TV, I dont think Ive ever seen them having a woman performing in that manner, but two shows right together showing the gay version. WTF.
Looks awesome. I grew up on the original show. The movie was rancid tripe. This looks fabulous. I will probably wait until season 4 and then binge it. Since everything I love gets cancelled, this will probably not make it to Season 2.
Actually I have to laugh because a group of diversity-oriented entertainers cant beat what old white men did 50 years ago, so they have to appropriate the content rather than produce good original ideas (which they must not have).
Great point.
I have come to terms we are no longer a white nation and that means you can’t have an all lily white cast on a show anymore. I will give it a chance. It matters more to me if it is genuine entertainment vs. preachy liberal propaganda. If it is just good old raw entertainment, I can go with the cosmopolitan flow. Everything just better fit is all. I will give it a chance.
Looks really good.
I’ll tune in, to see.

I’m impressed that the Robinson family appears to be all of same race (white) and no lesbo/homo marital relationship.
That is crazy. I wasn’t aware they shared plot lines like that.
Gilligans Island ran 1964 to 1967.
Lost in Space ran 1965 to 1968.
It looks like Lost in Space borrowed heavily from Gilligans Island. Both were CBS productions.
Now for the one really massive difference between Gilligan’s Island and Lost in Space.
Gilligan had “Ginger vs Mary Ann”. Lost in Space really offered no competition to Judy. Penny was way too young and not close to Judy’s league. And June Lockhard was too old.
Here is hoping it is fag free.
In the original Series first Season, the Robot was a threat because Dr. Smith had reprogrammed it to destroy the Robinsons. Later it would only obey him.
As the Show got more cartoonish in its later Seasons, the Robot became a cast character with a personality.
As an aside, I was watching Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea on MeTV. One of the first season shows featured an Alien Spaceship that crashed into the Ocean.
It was the same Spaceship used in The Day The Earth Stood Still with a couple of modifications and lights put on the original flat bottom. I always thought it was the coolest Flying Saucer and of course Gort was the coolest Robot.
They even used the first scenes from the Movie showing the glowing Spaceship flying over D.C. I guess the Special Effects budget wasn’t that big. LOL
As LIS and VTTBOTS continued into later Seasons, you would see the same silly Aliens, Props and Sets used on both.
first season was pretty good.
“Oh the pain the pain.....”
Just watched the trailer for the Netflix reboot of Lost in Space and it actually looks potentially really good. High production value and a robot that is *very* different from the original series.
Hey, Im a sucker for just about any sci-fi series if the acting is good and the plot is interesting.
Looks good Simon, Thanks
June Lockhard [sic] is still alive!.....................
