The Red Cross behavior was HORRIBLE after the OKC bombing. I don’t recall details, but it really dented their image in my neck of the woods.

Best as I can recall, I think it had to do with something about people sending money via snail mail to some of the victims named specifically, care of the Red Cross, and the RC TOOK THE MONEY!!! There was a big stink about it in local papers.

I knew something was wrong with Red Cross when they decided after 9/11 to take money that we citizens had sent them for the recovery and use it to “upgrade” their facilities. I have not given them another cent since.
