Scientist Says He's Found Fossilized Alien Footprints On Mars, Blames NASA For Cover-up
BGR Media ^ | March 5th, 2018 | Mike Wehner

...there's been no concrete evidence of life ever having existed on the Red Planet -- that is, if you believe the official version of things. Barry DiGregorio, a researcher with the University of Buckingham, doesn't buy it, and he says he's already discovered clues to Mars' past in the form of fossilized alien tracks. Now, he's trying to get others on board with his theory and blow the top off of an alleged NASA cover-up in the process.

DiGregorio... believes previously-released NASA imagery from the planet offers clear evidence of Martian tracks. He believes photos showing small indentations in rock are actually long-fossilized footprints of some type of alien life...

NASA, meanwhile, is doing its best to remain level headed as it explains why DiGregorio has lost his marbles. The "tracks" that are at the heart of this debate are actually much smaller than might be obvious from the photographs, and NASA claims that they are actually only about the size of a sesame seed. The agency believes the odd shapes to be the byproduct of crystal formations in the rock, and points to similar crystals found here on Earth that bear a striking resemblance to what DiGregorio believes are alien footprints.

"These shapes are characteristic of gypsum crystals," Sanjeev Gupta of the NASA's Mars Curiosity science team explains. "These can form when salts become concentrated in water, such as in an evaporating lake."

Of course, DiGregorio isn't buying that totally reasonable explanation and has instead decided to present his findings at a conference later this year, hoping to drum up support for his theory among other scientists. That's a bold strategy, and we'll see if it pays off.

It’s boring to be a scientist. Decades without recognition. Longing to the the next Isaac Newton, or Einstein. This way he gets his name in the paper and has a few moments of fame.

That scientist is tripping on something strong. There are no footprints in that photo.

I don’t know what’s the matter with all you foot print deniers. This sort of thing is one of my hobbies, and I happen to know this rock was found near the golf course on the moon where Elvis and JFK frequently play. You know, near that DC3.

He’s just confusing aliens for the footprints Neil Armstrong left when he planted the US flag there in 1969. What a maroon.

It's such a coverup, they released the pictures so everyone can see them. How clever!

Without geologic data on the composition of the material in the image, and some understanding of its history - how it developed, it is ridiculous to claim any image on Mars that merely resembles something is factually the item it resembles.

“Semblance” is no more proof than is correlation a proof of cause.

There are tracks on Mars left by something from another world.

That other world is Earth.

This is the outcome of that new, super strong pot that they’re growing nowadays.

In other news, I am now qualified to be a scientist.

Demand and bloviate and make your fortune over something that will never be able to be verified in your lifetime.

Good paying work, I am sure, if you can find it.

I went to Amazon to look for this book. There is a copy on sale there for over 700 dollars. I ordered a copy through Abebooks for a little over 5 dollars.

‘Qanon cultists will run with this.’

Unlikely. They prefer theories with far less supporting evidence than this.

"“Semblance” is no more proof than is correlation a proof of cause."

Oh Yeah?!?

Try telling that to the people worshiping the seepage under the "L" tracks in Chicago...

(Somebody scrawled "Go Cubs" on the upper right.
No doubt she is responsible for their World Series.)
