Saturday Night Live this weekend opened with a bipartisan meeting on gun control, led by Alec Baldwins Donald Trump, during which the president indicated that there were 30 million good reasons why nothing will change.
POTUS, joined by Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Diane Feinstein, said in the wake of the Parkland school shooting that it was time to take a hard look at mental health, which I have so much of. I have one of the healthiest mentals. He than posed the idea that maybe we just take everyones guns away, and that no one should be allowed to have them, not even whites. Pence, seemingly distraught, was then assured by Trump that he met with the NRA, [and] they gave me 30 million good reasons not to change a thing.
SNL chose not to address Trumps Friday morning tweets complaining about the Emmy winners terrible impression, which also suggested that the show should bring back previous portrayer Darrell Hammond. Instead, Baldwins Trump focused on the presidents assertion that he would have run into the chaos at the Florida high school, even if he werent armed.
The youth of America deserve to feel safe and secure in their schools, he continued, but folks, I can only run into so many schools and save everybody If I have to make Americas schools safe all by myself, I will. Just like how Im running the White House all by myself The people who work for me keep resigning, like Hope Hicks. Shes like a daughter to me. So smart, so hot.
We need to heal this country of ours. Its really one of the best Top 5? We could do better, he declared. I said I was going to run this country like a business. That business is a waffle house at 2 am crazies everywhere, staff walking out in the middle of their shift, managers taking money out of the register to pay the Russian mob but maybe we do just take all the guns away.
Attorney General Jeff Mr. Magoo Sessions then turned up, refusing to resign despite Trumps pleas.
You got a check?!
All I got was a knife.
Even more reason not to pay them any attention. Ignore them. Don't watch them. Your will never miss them.
I used to watch cable TV news every evening and was absorbed in it.
But I stopped cold turkey when Trump won the GOP nomination.
I could see that watching the media didn't inform me of anything other than the media today is overtly, very biased against Trump and his supporters.
Being a strong Trump supporter, I saw no reason to keep watching the attacks on my candidate and me.
Once upon a time many many years ago we tried to watch SNL, but found it beyond stupid, and have never watched it since.
We confess maybe a total of 20 minutes were wasted. We hang our heads in shame for wasting those 20 minutes.
I still remember when science fiction and horror movies were on Saturday night.
I got my soda, popcorn and sat down to watch as I had done for years. What came on was ...”LIVE FROM NEW YORK, IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT!”
I said, “What the heck is this! Where is my si-fi movie!”
Snot-Nosed Liberals
I watch it for Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong.
Without them, there’s nothing there.
Wondering if Snopes has fact checked this claim yet like they did with the Babylon Bee parody article
Why?
Long ago, even SNL was funny for conservatives. They at least seemed to care not to offend anyone on the right.
Today they WANT to shame and abuse conservatives in any way they can while appealing to the left. They evidently really DON’T want our viewing and our advertisement dollars.
I say “OK”. I don’t miss SNL, the NFL, broadcast news, and Fox news is starting to piss me off as well. I can get my news from someplace that doesn’t seem to want to offend me for my beliefs.
This does indicate to me a polarization of our culture. And THAT might just be from the Russians (Soviets in the Cold War) according to Yuri Bezminov, former KGB defector who lectured on how the Soviets DID try to influence not just elections but our culture in order to undermine and ultimately bring down our country. Unfortunately, they just may be successful at that type of ‘collusion’...
Thanks EdnaMode.
Too funny - SNL also seemed to think Alec Baldwin was a talented comedian and worthy of being showcased....
