I don't take it at face value, that's for sure. My view is that Trump wants more sunlight on the issues involved, with sunlight coming from the press, Congress, and players in the DOJ.

I doubt that anybody in the press has any inside track other than access (e.g., Trump likes Jeanine Pirro). Trump knows there will be a range of reactions from players in the press. I think Dobbs is, like most freepers, frustrated that Hillary/FBI apparent wrongdoings aren't being dealt with while Trump is unjustifiably under a microscope.

I tend to agree. I’m also inclined to ignore the “obvious” implications of Sessions’ dinner with Rosenstein.
