Missouri Has No Illegals
"The Ozarks Sentinel" ^ | Nov 2010 | Editorial

Missouri has no illegal's; go figure... Shouldn't the other states do the same? Missouri's approach to the problem of illegal immigration appears to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective than anything to date in Arizona . Does the White House appreciate what Missouri has done? So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention? Answer: There are no illegal's in Missouri to demonstrate.

The "Show Me" state has again shown us how it should be done. There needs to be more publicity and exposure regarding what Missouri has done. Please pass this around.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri . In November, 2008, nearly 90% voted in favor! Thus, English became the official language for ALL governmental activity in Missouri . No individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2008, a measure was passed that required the Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be in Missouri illegally. Missouri law enforcement officers receive specific training with respect to enforcement of federal immigration laws.

In Missouri, illegal immigrants do NOT have access to taxpayer benefits such as food stamps or health care through Missouri Health NET.

In 2009, a measure was passed that ensures Missouri 's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are illegally in the United States .

In Missouri all post-secondary institutions of higher education are required to annually certify to the Missouri Dept. Of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States .

So, while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember, Missouri has been far more proactive in addressing this horrific problem. Missouri has made it clear that illegal immigrants are NOT WELCOME in the state and they will NOT receive public benefits at the expense of Missouri taxpayers.

Having lived in Missour, it all depends upon the meaning of the word “no,” to paraphrase BJ Clinton.

Just checked the latest map, cost of illegal aliens per state. MO still spends $360 million per year on illegals. Oregon 1.3 billion

Yeah, it does depend on how these questions are “interpreted” by the various government agencies, as to how these answers are given.

It’s totally true, Missouri voters declared their intentions and demanded their state agencies comply.

Both Kansas City and St. Louis at least have declared themselves “so-called sanctuary cities,” so much for governments following “the will of those for whom they work!”

Hospitals in Kansas City, at least, are treating illegals at a brisk clip and I would imagine the same is going on in St. Louis as well. Which government agency is picking up those tabs?

I went into the Walmart in Jane several months ago. It looked like a foreign country in there. Not just hispanics, but a lot of what I would guess were Somalis, too. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Somalis are unsettling, they have what I call the 'Crazy Eyes'.

With all the poultry processing plants down here in Southern Missouri, they draw a lot of people you wouldn't expect to see; Somalis, Chinese and/or SE Asians, Pacific Islanders...just to name the ones I've seen personally. Are they legal? Maybe. Do they chain migrate? Absolutely. There used to be fairly regular INS/ICE raids in the area, they discontinued several years or more ago, from what I understand.

More commonly referred to as ‘Monexico’.

Interesting point. One thing I didn’t see in the list is how they treat, birthright citizenship. The one thing that creates all the other problems with illegals. Do they issue birth certificates, which is a done by the counties? Do the “newborn citizens” get the status their families seek in order to set the anchor and bring the whole clan over?

And,if they were truly serious, they’d stop paying those Medicare bills and tell the hospitals to pound sand.

#9: "Walk in to any emergency room."

Why is that? In every state every emergency room is swamped with illegals. I don't get it. Even if only 10% of a county is illegal aliens, everyone in the E.R. is illegal.

Is it some cultural thing? Most illegals are primitive and backwards, barely out of their village. Perhaps they think of the E.R. as a place to get good mojo, a place of the local magical shaman. After all, the E.R. is where you will find the Medicine Man.

I wish some smart investigative reporter could get to the bottom of his mystery.

Anchoring is a-OK.

In fact, the factories and slaughterhouses depend on it and chain migration to keep their workforce adequately staffed. It's common to see 3 generations of hispanics working in a given company. I believe it's not entirely because the companies are keeping the wages low (that's a side benefit), but also because outside of St Louis and Kansas City, Missouri is not that heavily populated.

One very clear way to determine acceptance of illegals by your county, is to drop by your county health office.

I had such a need to do just that a couple of years ago when plans to travel outside the U.S. indicated I would be advised to get some immunizations not regularly given at my doctor’s office, within a time limit.

Being the good “rule follower” I am, I headed out to my local county health office, which happens to be just across the State Line in Kansas, just blocks from Kansas City, MO.

While we in KS have been fighting to make our state illegal immigrant free, we’ve been saddled with far too many “Country Club” Republican local and State liberals, who love the term “moderate or even Eisenhower Republicans” as opposed to “Reagan Conservative Republicans,” who continue to team up with the State’s dimocRATS in Topeka!

Well I digress, so upon driving into the Johnson County (KS) county office where there is a county health office, I noticed lots of moms with kiddos entering with lots of little ones streaming in from the side of the parking lot next to where that office is. Waiting room was chocked full of moms with their kids to get “free well baby” visits and none were gringos, if you get my drift as only I asked for service in English!

When I noticed something very similar going on across the street at the DMV, only to find that waiting room, midday full of what I could only describe as FOBs (Fresh Off the Boats in Asian descriptions of newbys in San Francisco!)

When I then saw a woman in line, complete with a file folder, who was clearly acting as an interpreter to about 10 Hispanic guys who were not bi-lingular yet preparing to obtain driver’s licenses!

I immediately stomped out to my car before renewing my driver’s license and called up both my friend in the KS Attorney Generals office, then to my other friend in the now former KS Secretary of State’s office to demand what in the world was going on as KS did NOT permit drivers licenses to illegals nor should they have been offering tests in Spanish!

My friend at the Attorney General’s office responded and said they’d send “someone that very afternoon to the office,” while the loser Secretary of State demurred with, “we will try to look into it - soon!”

I’ve made it a point to “drop by” that DMV office and the other one at the County seat office regularly and have seen no more such sights as parking lots resembling “town squares at noon in Tijuana!”

I wish I could report similar success at the health department but was told those “services were provided by federally mandated laws!”

Yeah. When Calufornia did that the left took them to court and Grey Davis refused to defend so the court ruling against California stands

Don’t let word get out about Missouri or they will face the same

I wish Florida had been half so smart... we have cities with long stretches where no one speaks English... We also have to 'press one for English'...
