I have been posted to GTMO 4 times, three in the last ten years, once during the second Mariel boat-lift back in 1994.
They prepare for mass exoduses from Haiti and from Cuba, which is why they have space for 13,000 migrants. The 5,000 spaces for U.S. Forces is the contingency forces to handle that kind of inflow of migrants.
In 1994 there were 65,000 Cubans escaping from Castro. Who knows what will happen when the Castro brothers die. In addition, if we start getting some kind of mass refugee event, it would be nice to have a place to send them that is NOT CONUS.
Having said that, the 5 bed hospital is probably for the remaining detainees who will probably die there. You do not want those guys back on the street because they would become the biggest draw any terrorist entity could want. The parades on the “Arabic street” would be horrendous.
Building anything at GTMO requires that every single item for building, every single item, has to be flow or shipped in, and every single piece of trash or construction debris has to be shipped out. It is a very expensive proposition."

Grand jury participants are all sworn to secrecy, EXCEPT witnesses that testify to the grand jury. That’s why there are ‘leaks’ whenever there is a politically charged grand jury. Some witnesses will publicize what they were asked about.
Reporters monitor courthouses, looking for high-profile people entering or leaving when a grand jury is thought to be in session. This info is then sometimes embellished into a ‘leak’.
BTW, the feds issue more than 80,000 indictments per year.
Sealed indictments means no public revelation of who and how many people are charged, or which and how many charges. Once an arrest has been made, both the arrest and indictment are made public.
Thanks, there are a lot of article about the record number of seal indictments, but if you saying there are 80,000 a year then it’s not a record amount.
Not all indictments are sealed. Relatively few are.
It’s not easy to count sealed indictments until long after the fact. The number of sealed indictments outstanding is conjecture based on missing docket numbers, and federal courts do not all use the same method of recording indictments. Current numbers are conjecture.

That always confuses me when people add me to a reply.
About calling me names. I wear it like a badge of honor because when they have to resort to name calling then I know I won the argument. I take it as a compliment whenever they call me names—and I point out that they have resorted to name calling because they can’t win on the merits/facts of the discussion.
They only use $100,000 hammer and $200,000 screwdrivers.
Wow, video is now unavailable. Youtube sure has been busy taking down videos and conservative content creators like mad recently. It’s part of a huge coordinated effort from all these leftist places to try to keep Americans from figuring this out for themselves (it will fail though).
It should throw up huge red flags to all conservatives but as you can read in this thread, some have very closed minds and that’s too bad for the cause of restoring our Constitutional Republic, from all this corruption.

The youtube channel seething frog is still up but he is touching the same subject...last few days he is discussing alternatives.
