Haha. BAM. I just learned that from reading your post.
Q does talk about "keystone" more in regards to a map than a pyramid, it seems to me. Is keyword used in mappery? (made up that word).
I love your new word.
Do you remember movies where they have pins and threads all over the map? Then someone pulls out ONE pin and EVERYTHING falls on the ground. Sort of Get Smarty. That’s what I think of when you say keystone. The pin that everything hangs on.
mappery = cartography
:-)
But I do like your word!
Maps have keys, but as far as I know, not keystones. Hmmmm.
That would be “the legend” I believe.
Also used in blueprints
Do not make the mistake of thinking the map is two-dimensional, it isn't. It's three-dimensional, and probably four-dimensional as we also have to consider the passage of time as the map evolves. Then keystones become very important.
One of the talents I have always possessed has been the ability to look at two-dimensional drawings and see them in three-dimensions, and even to turn them in my mind and look at all sides. You see some of those questions in IQ tests. This is something we have to be able to do with Q's map.
