They’re called the Little Barbies. Children, young girls—some as young as 9 years old—are being bought and sold for sex in America. The average age for a young woman being sold for sex is now 13 years old. This is America’s dirty little secret.
According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, “Children are being targeted and sold for sex in America every day.”
Sex trafficking—especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls—has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns.
As investigative journalist Amy Fine Collins notes, “It’s become more lucrative and much safer to sell malleable teens than drugs or guns.
Consider this: every two minutes, a child is exploited in the sex industry....On average, a child might be raped by 6,000 men during a five-year period of servitude.

You cite the friggin’ UN as a credible source for human trafficking?
To top it off they cite worldwide “estimates” rather than US numbers.
If people in this BUSINESS were serious, they would cite verifiable arrest and rescue numbers.
But they are not. The care about grants and donations.
I’m scared of 13. At 6 already mine isn’t as compliant as she used to be. And moody! My sons never had any moods!
I’m told that girls are displaying mood changes much earlier.
I don’t tell people how to raise their kids, but it seems to me that there is no substitute for time—not this BS “quality time,” but lots and lots of time, when the conversation can turn to Lewis Carroll, Pinochet, inflation, the Holomodor, the “starving Armenians” that my grandmother called on to get my mother to eat her vegetables, the true story of the Viet Nam War, the truth about FDR, God, the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera (not to forget the great Rogers and Hammerstein).
The other day she called me from school and said, “This kid is saying the Cold War lasted ten years in the 60s. That’s not right, is it? It went from after WWII until after Reagan, right?”
Brings a tear to my battered old eye and warms my military heart to think that I may have been of some small use in this life.
If it were so insanely rampant I’d know somebody at this pint. I know Forster parents and kids, drug addicts and formers, etc.
Sexual abuse IS rampant. I testified to that. However the rampant stuff is not abducting and oristituting if kids (at least not in the US). It’s the abuse by family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. Abduction is thankfully rare.

thank you! There it is in black and white for all the naysayers. Where I live in Pennsylvania, a child predator is picked up and charged every week. many are public school teachers...some cops...ministers and priests, etc. We are tough on them up here. 20 to 30 year sentences are not uncommon. It is definitely an epidemic of horrible proportions.
