8 Terrible Actors Who Got Lucky Breaks
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
Yes good in Moonstruck and mostly downhill after. Cher whatever her politics is a surprisingly good actress.
What are you talking about?
Gregory Peck and Natalie Wood
bumblegummer is an idiot.
Our culture has elevated this profession to some elite status when as a class they’re nothing but a bunch of self-absorbed script readers.
So true. Hard to imagine that the decision makers in H’wood have given him opportunities.
But, he was able to reel in Jennifer Garner, so I’ll give him some credit.
I have no idea...I could never go see him in any other movie after he shot his mouth off about politics.
Both Costner and Wayne always played basically the same guy. They were paid well to do that and when you needed that kind of a guy, they were perfect, but they had limited range as actors. I too have liked movies featuring both men. Costner in 'Field of Dreams' or Wayne in 'Liberty Valance' for example.
Kevin Costner in the 'Big Chill' was able to fully come to terms with the character played and demonstrate the depth that he could bring to a roll.
Who are you calling bad (puts on sunglass) bad actor?
Channing Tatum
Julia Stiles is very flat. In affect.
Rofl at your intonation!
Dont forget one of shatners best scenes, when he was on the phone to 911 when his wife was dead in the pool.
Can you please clarify, are you mad because it's not political, or are you mad because you can't view it at work? I'm not entirely certain why you're upset.
Absolutely the most wooden actor I have ever seen in a major movie.
I first saw him in "Beast Master" a movie that was so bad that the author refused to have her name associated with it.
I thought maybe it was just the script.
Then I saw him in "V" and by George, he really could not act!
How pretty boy got any parts is a mystery for the ages.
He was good in boogie nights. And entourage was my guilty pleasure sitcom.
Youre funny!
This may be on Netflix or may not but try and find it and watch it.
“Captain Alatriste: The Spanish Musketeer” (Story set in early 1660s)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Alatriste
I thought Mortensen was quite good in this!
Captain Alatriste is a fictional character much in the same way Bernard Cornwall’s Richard Sharpe is. Arturo Pérez-Reverte is the author; in Spanish historical fiction he is their Cornwall equivalent.
The movie ends with the destruction of the Spanish Tercios (regiments) at the Battle of Rocroi which marks the end of Spanish infantry dominance in Europe. The movie implies that Alatriste does not survive.
Good point.
A lot of them are just playing themselves. They have a niche that they fill.
Keanu Reeves = Stoner Guy. Mark Wahlberg = Boston Guy. Arnold Schwartzenegger = European Muscle Guy. Vin Diesel = Multiracial Muscle Guy.
Christopher Mintz-Whatever = Geeky Guy. He will have real trouble "branching out."
Best for you to just avoid anything that’s YT related on here, but if you are interested in seeing the video of a particular thread at a later time, then just send it to yourself or ping yourself for later. I learn so much from videos on You Tube. I have seen a whole slew of WWII and other documentaries, war, etc. on there that I would not have seen otherwise. I just watched a very good one on the 1918 flu pandemic.
Meryl Streep is a very hammy actress. Shes had some excellent roles that would be hard to mess up, and shes been good enough not to mess them up. She has an interesting, photogenic face for character acting.
But she supported and hid a rapist for twenty or more years so he could hurt lots of women and girls, and she loves all the other Hollywood pedos. She also throws morality shade on anyone not a Hollywood phony leftist. So any talent she might have is kind of overruled.
