Just got my first post tax bill paycheck, and I LOVE the 'crumbs'!

I've really been curious as to how the new tax law would effect my take home pay. I really believe that this mid-term election is going to focus on the law.
I'm starting this thread to see what kind of effect the new tax law is having on people's actually take home pay. My last paycheck was net 2940, and my post tax bill check is 3093, that is an increase of $153, or 5%!
If everyone is getting these kinds of 'crumbs', I think the Democrats may be in a world of hurt come November.
So, for anyone OK with it, lets hear what kind of increase you have received, no need to post what you make, just the percentage effect. For anyone bad at math, simply take the difference, 153 in my case, and divide it by the old salary, 2943 in my case, and you will get the percentage increase .0519 in my case.

Even if it was ONE dollar that would be more than the Democrats did for me.

Winning!
That doesn’t even take into account the annual raises most professionals are likely to see this year as companies reinvest some of their tax savings into talent.

I grossed less on my 1/12/18 paycheck, but on my 1/26/18 paycheck I took home approx $41 more. That may not be much, but that is another tank of gas, another run by the grocery store for sundries. It is more than that Marxist monkey ever did for me in 8 years.

Nice!
I’ve decided to direct my increase into my 401k. I’ll find out in 10 days how much it is.

$1800+ per year take home increase. Pretty substantial.

Good point. I live in Texas, so no state income taxes, and the effect is strictly on the new tax law. I don't know what the outcome would be in high tax states, are they increasing the state withholding tables for higher anticipated taxes? I would think not, because the state tax burden is not changing, they are simply not being able to have as much deductions.

I expect my payroll tax withholdings to change in February (we use one of the big third-party processors.) Can’t wait to see a difference.

This is for my Feb 1st paycheck. My company makes sure that we never get paid late, and always deposits the money a day or two early.

Thanks, that is exactly why I asked. I live in the tax free of Florida. I get my first check tomorrow so I’ll post my percentage then.
Thanks for this thread!

Ooooo.... I’ll bet you’re “rich,” because we’ve been incessantly told that only the “rich” benefit from this tax break. :)
