Felonies committed by anyone in the FBI negates all retirement benefits. (I would assume)

Nope! Numerous examples of Congree Criiters and others serving time in prison while they receive their pensions! Existing statutes governing retirement system would have to be changed, and the, they could not be applied retroactively...

I think it is passed time to roll all these people up. Letting HRC, Obama, J Edgar Comey et al get away with all they have doesn’t help much in preventing corruption in the future. it also makes us look like a Banana Republic.

Doesn't sound like taking terminal leave which I would think they would not restrict your access in case you're needed for other investigations, cases, etc.

This guy is a crook!
He needs to be GONE...
GONE!!

No security access. no access to ANYTHING.

Except maybe to access to testifying under oath!

But as a Director or Dep Director, even a fed, would that still warrant civil service protections? Isn’t that for GS level positions? Director types, I believe, are all SES/ES type...all serve at the will of...at least that is how it is at state levels I’m familiar with.

I think we’re jumping to conclusions. When I retired and took terminal leave from the government I turned in all my passes, cards, etc and was off the email network. I didn’t “resign” and I wasn’t “removed”. For all intents and purposes I was gone, but still on the payroll until the retirement date.

I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to tell FReepers hunched over keyboards in their basements. HANNITY RISKS A LOT TO DO WHAT HE DOES and by sheer hours alone he works harder than most. Stop ripping him. He’s probably a better patriot than your mother or mine so let’s insult him as much as we insult our mothers. Like never. Sheesh.

others are gone, now, too.

Music to my ears if true. Still a long way to go. Justice Department next. The more dirty rats we remove, the more power the remaining good guys have and the more likely the bad guys rat and the more likely we get more bad guys....It's a snowball effect. I like to call it....

Winning.

And no, I haven't had enough Mr. President.

God only knows what the actual rules are, never mind the rules that are reality on the ground.

I can promise you that the civil service will go to the mat trying to protect every handout dime that McCabe makes a claim to, as a defense-in-principle of their own handouts.

Every person who works or has worked for the feds needs a 50% pay cut and 80% benefits cut to be merely on par with the free market. Halve both again, and then twice more, to be on par with their performance.

Maybe he’s been negotiating the terms of his departure since he announced a few weeks ago he was intending on retiring in March.

Beyond the very top levels, they’re all career Civil Service. Finding Trump supporters among them would be the needle-in-the-haystack search. How many would even be liberal Republicans?

My read here is that Wray read the memo and promptly told McCabe to GTFO.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who was expected to retire in the coming months, is stepping down, according to multiple reports. A career civil servant who was appointed deputy director in 2016, McCabe has been a frequent target of Republicans alleging systemic bias against President Trump at the top tiers of the bureau. The GOP has accused him of a conflict of interest in that case because his wife accepted nearly $500,000 in political donations from Clinton ally Terry McAuliffe in a...
