Congress Quietly Pushing Bill to Require National Biometric ID for ALL Americans
Earlier this month, Rep. Bob Goodlatte [R-VA-6] introduced H.R.4760 Securing Americas Future Act of 2018, a sweeping bill that entails everything from Education and the Workforce to Homeland Security to the military.
Also, tucked away in this 400-page behemoth of a bill are the details of a new biometric National ID card that could soon be required for everyone.
Not surprisingly, there is almost no media coverage on this legislation.

Crazy, ironic, and totally irrational.
They created the problem by not enforcing the existing immigration laws. IIRC, the never did appropriate funds for the wall that they passed years ago.
The UN’s beast system is moving forward daily. I wonder who the false prophet will be? I think we are definitely moving out of the Church’s age of grace toward the time of troubles.
Also who will be the 2 witnesses-I’m thinking Enoch will be back in the end times.
Many of the church people that I’ve talked to, believer that Trump is a modern day Cyrus. I heard on preacher state that Trump was God’s prosecutor.
Whatever, I believe that God heard the prayers and Trump is here to give us a respite to prepare, and bring as many as possible into his saving grace.
Yep, and I don’t want anything with ability to track my movements and purchases. Right now I can go down and buy ammunition for example and pay cash. I can also stock up on food and pay cash.
If I have to present a government ID when I buy something-that is not good.
I think it’s creepy that the local police can just key in a cell phone number and tell where you are.
PRAY?
Exactly!
Anyone who sleeps with pets knows how true that is!
Thanks for that answer and I agree - I am always surprised by the visceral reaction that equates a national identification to the mark of the beast. It does not compute for me for many of the reasons you said. I think we need a “one world” government to be in charge before this comes to pass and while we have certainly headed that way for most of my lifetime, if recent elections such as Trump, LePen coming close, and Brexit are any indication we are not as close as the bureaucrats at the UN would like to think. I think it is inevitable given the direction of the world. I know it is inevitable because the Bible says so.
If I read your response right you do not reject faith, but perhaps you reject the organized (some might call it corporate) church. In that you would probably find much sympathy and agreement among followers of Christ. The body of believers make up the “church” that Jesus talked about - not denominations or buildings. These institutions have often behaved just like the government you despise.
With regards to the government.... it is a necessary evil and in our nation, unlike many, it is a reflection of us. Division = power and both parties have played the game very well. If we were not so divided our politicians would be far less wealthy. It has reached a point where there is little agreement over anything and sadly, the left has ultimately played the game much better than the right. They control the media, academia to include primary schools, and of course, as always throughout history the drivers of culture. In a nation that is self-absorbed and lacks reason, this is a force that will ultimately win. This must be the only reason why those on the far left in government keep overplaying their hand. They are losing at the moment, but they believe they have the better hand in the long run. We believe we have the better plan, but too few are hearing it.

...got off the phone with Congressman Labrador. As I suspected...There is no National ID in the immigration bill and Congressman Labrador would not support a national ID.
Fake news just stole 4 hours of my day.
This is Ron Paul nutcase stuff.
I don’t reject faith at all. I can’t. Jesus Christ saved my life when I prayed to him and asked Him to. Since that time, He has been visibly active in my life in a number of ways and many times. For whatever reason, a reason I cannot figure out, He cares about me and wants me here for some purpose, because I should have been gone many times now.
Unfortunately, as far as religion goes, all of my experiences with it have been quite negative in as much as almost every overtly religious person that I have met has been evil. And they purposely veil themselves behind religion to gain access to good and trusting people for the purpose of getting whatever they can get from them. They literally used it as a disguise, and it worked.
I’m not saying that religion serves no purpose in society though, because it does. if I did not have the blessings of parents who took me to church as a child, I may not have known whom to pray to when the time for praying came, and I would have died.
But seeing this pattern with overtly religious people being evil occur fairly frequently jaded me on religion, and it seemed to me that it is a tool of man used to control other men. And it’s secondary purpose is money. I don’t think churches would exist if money didn’t exist, at least not today.
For me personally, I met Jesus at the bottom of a deep, dark pit that I dug with my own hands. There was no one else down there but me, and I asked Him to give me the Strength to pull myself up out of it, and He did, so I did.
Because of that circumstance, it became clear to me that I need no other person in order to love Jesus, and in order to be loved by Jesus. If I was the last person on this earth, I would not be alone, because He is there, in me, because one day I finally let Him in.
I’m sure that many would disagree with my outlook on that, but these are what my experiences taught me, so I must go with that. I generally keep my beliefs to myself, but if someone asks me do I believe, I tell them yes, and if they query me further, I’ll tell them why. but I am not interested in converting or convincing people or anything like that. We come to these revelations when we come to them, and some never do. It wasn’t time for them yet.
You answered the most important question for each of us - your focus is on Christ who is far above the failures of those who publicly profess yet fail to live the light. Sadly, many people do use a public profession of faith to further their own selfish sins. That has happened throughout history to include the time prior to the gift of Christ. We are all sinful yet those who fraudulently wear the cloak to take advantage of others do the worst damage.
However, no matter how bad others may do us in his name or their own, we must all strive to follow his direction in Matthew 22. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and love one another after that. People fail - it is what we do, but I hope you stay with the first directive and don’t give up on the second. Best wishes!
One good thing about keeping Christ on His throne in your life is that while no living Christian is perfect, our common love of Christ does create a bond. I have lived in many places and I look for Him in the lives of others. They know Him. I can go into any church and worship and meet eternal brothers and sisters. They are my family. (I don’t talk to my family much, but I can whenever I want.)
On the other hand, stay vigilant because Satan is the great deceiver and infiltrates. I like Paul’s way of exposing him.
I recently read “Let God Be God” and it gave me the right view of human righteousness. Research “total depravity” and then “God is our righteousness” to see that even when we live a holy life, it is still God who gives us our breath and all righteousness is Him. Which is why He had to become human.
>> if you live in a state that issues CCW, do you have one? If yes, then your biometric data is already captured and on file <<
BULLPUCKY!!!
In VA here, CCW (aka CHP Concealed Handgun Permit) holder. I was not even finger printed when I applied (they do check NCIS database). Any biometrics could have been captured via all the security cams.
Long ago in VA, biometrics was instituted when you renew your drivers license. You are told not to smile and the pic is in B&W.
So yes, biometrics is old news.
While I don’t like it, nothing I can do about it. Stop bashing folks that resist it.
BTW, what was your MOS?
