My daughter and I were listening to a bunch of varying music on this pretty afternoon while out and about. Some Beatles thrown in, too, as we are both fans.
I was reminded of this video I came across a few months ago. I have just about zero musical ability, but I enjoy music hugely, and I also enjoy watching about music talk. I find this video fun and interesting.
Since it’s the 40 year anniversary of Terry Kath’s death, I’ve been going back and playing a lot of early Chicago recently.
Damn, he was good, he really was the engine for that band, and they never were the same after his passing. IMHO every bit as good as SRV, if he wanted to pursue a solo career, in terms of guitar playing and singing.

A perfect example of a pocket player, unable to do much, simple and yet one of the greatest drummers that ever lived. A lesson that can be applied anywhere

If Mick Jagger had a sex change, he might look like Yoko Ono.
Not bad...Distortion and all ;)
The Beatles - Revolution [YouTube video 3:27 mins]
Stranded on an island, I'll take Lynyrd Skynyrd and Allman Bros all day long.
I think the opening of "Helter Skelter" tops it.
No?
But here’s another one I like a lot:

Call me the breeze and throw in a little Fleetwood Mac or Buckingham Nicks and Ill be happy.
Thats not singing - thats destructive mic testing.
Bookmark.
Been listening to a lot of Sergey Kashirin in the Chicago cover band Leonid and Friends. I just bought their cd Chicagovich.
His collaboration with Vlatko Stefanovski & Stochelo Rosenberg are fantastic too. Vlatko is a beast.
KINGS OF STRINGS - Guitar Boogie (HD) LIVE [YouTube video 5:48 mins]
I thought Day Tripper was in there...toward the end.

WHAT?!?!??? No, no, no, no, no, NO! Never ever say you've given up the guitar for good! How can that possibly be "good"?!?
Give it up for an hour or two, or until tomorrow or maybe until the next day or or or or however long it takes, but never for good.
But yeah, Tommy is one of the most amazing guitar players that most have never heard or heard of.
And yeah, I almost want to stick my left hand down the garbage disposal sometimes after watching one of his videos, but other than that, he's very inspirational!
Thank you, I had to cut out at 26 minutes for a work meeting...he did it with I Feel Fine, another dominant chord riff.
