If children could die from a federal shutdown, why would McConnell stick with a 60 vote requirement?
Because McConnell doesn’t even have 51 GOP votes.
1) The shutdown doesn’t really hurt anyone.
2) It’s good political theater to say “Look what the Democrats are doing!” (even though some Republicans also support illegal aliens over US citizens.)
Funny, I recently saw Daniel Pena (on YouTube) apply the same test for absurdity to Global Warming. He told a whining woman in a Q&A that if even the conservative alarmist projection of sea rise was true, how is it that construction is BOOMING all across the Florida coastline?
Simple, none of those investors actually BELIEVE global warming alarmism. They arent in to throwing money away, either.
People with something to gain via hyperbolic alarmism are the ones who traffic in its manipulations. Its all about what THEY want, not truth.
