A new study has found that women are biologically stronger than men.
Despite ‘history’ teaching us that men come up trumps when it comes to lifting boxes, sawing down trees and winning pub fights all is not as it seems.
The study by Proceedings of the National Academy of Scientists of the United States of America reveals that women are actually more likely to survive a life threatening crisis than men.
Researchers came to this conclusion by comparing the death rates of men and women who were pitted against famines, epidemics and slavery.
The only two exceptions were the plantation slaves in 19th century Trinidad and freed Liberian slaves around the same time.

Hmmm. Depending on what they mean, isn’t it obvious? Men take riskier jobs, engage in riskier pursuits. (Including downright stupid ones) Anybody remember what happened on the Titanic?
This observation was in my Physiology textbook in 11th grade. For PC purposes I suppose it is NEW.

I’ve seen it. My GF is stronger than me when she sees a shoe sale at the mall. I cant stop her from taking my credit card and maxing them out afterwards. Makes PMS look like a Disney movie.
Define “Life threatening crisis”
I thought this was well known. During a siege or disaster the last people alive will be the fertile women - they are designed to survive - down to having more body fat. The author of this article should be slapped.

Men have historically spent their energies protecting women from danger, therefore subjecting themselves to the bulk of the risk and dangerous activity that can result in fatality.
And as someone else just pointed out.... we also have a tendency to do more stupid sh*t, we have more “hold muh beer” moments...
