Whatever the reason, it is a sad picture and elicits the response the left wants.

It saddens me but the propaganda angle is obvious.

Poor fellas :(

So instead of hot foxes they’re now stone cold foxes?

Pteropus vampyrus - Museo Civico di Storia Naturale Giacomo Doria - Genoa, Italy - DSC02536.JPG

The large flying fox is among the largest species of bat. It weighs 1.4–2.4 pounds, and has a wingspan of up to 4 feet 11 inches.

I wish the bat that I saw flying in my kitchen the other night would die. He should have been hibernating so he will die soon, unless my cat got him then he already is.

The boiling point of water is 100 C.

Temps reached above 40 C.

Something isn’t adding up...

I think ‘broiling’ would have been better description than ‘boiling.’

“The animals fell from the trees...”

Are these the famous Drop Bears? Is there anything in Oz that won’t kill you?

Cross checked - this OP appears to contain typo error. Another article said it was 47.3 C or 117 degrees in Sidney yesterday, just one degree below the record for that city.

The mention of 40 C came from the cancellation of a tennis match once the temp reached 40 C. One of the players said it was much hotter on the court.

I wonder why our bats don’t boil alive here in Arizona when it gets to 115, 120 degrees.
