Do you think Georgia fans are excited to be playing for a national championship at home?
In the hour after the Bulldogs clinched a spot in next weeks title game in Atlanta, ticket prices on Stubhub skyrocketed. ESPNs Darren Rovell noted that the Stubhub page for the game actually went offline for about a half hour. When it went back up, tickets were going for obscene prices.

“Undefeated UCF just beat Auburn who beat both teams in the championship game”. . . . . . . . . .
So what if Auburn beat Georgia the first time around this season over in their house. Three weeks later the Dawgs stomped them and carried a nice trophy back to Athens. The Dawgs have DEFEATED EVERY TEAM they played this season. Also, UCF needs to join a FBS conference it it wants to be a contender.
Clearly, the committee thinks that bad losses are more important than good wins. And they have been consistent the last two years.
UCF is in a FBS conference.
Apparently not, if losing to unranked Syracuse allows a team to be selected no. 1 despite playing a 2nd division team The Citadel on its schedule.
Face it, when Clemson had a bad day, they barely lost. When OSU and USC had a bad day, they imploded.
If the Big Ten only played 8 conference games like the ACC and the SEC and instead of having to play an division crossover team like Iowa and play a 2nd division opponent, then Ohio State would only have a single loss. Therefore, either force those 2 conferences to schedule 9 in conference games or disqualify any team from consideration who schedules a 2nd division patsy.
Let’s level the playing field for everyone...
I agree that there should be more interconference games in the ACC and SEC. But that is not the rules as they are now, and you can’t judge this season on the way you’d like things to be, only as they are now.
Next season Alabama plays 2nd division The Citadel while Ohio State will play a ninth conference game against a power 5 opponent...
Would like to see the NCAA add four more teams to the playoffs. Take the top Eight and extend another week to the schedule.
No brainer.
It won’t be like between the hedges, as Alabama travels as well. No doubt they will sell their allotment.
Yes, and then Georgia beat us for the SEC championship. Our season ended with the Iron Bowl. The last two games were just flopping around on the field.
