I can see where you are coming from, but a 27-24 loss to Syracuse is not like getting beat 55-24 by Iowa or 49-14 by Notre Dame. Not to mention that was Clemson's only loss during the regular season.

Face it, when Clemson had a bad day, they barely lost. When OSU and USC had a bad day, they imploded.

If the Big Ten only played 8 conference games like the ACC and the SEC and instead of having to play an division crossover team like Iowa and play a 2nd division opponent, then Ohio State would only have a single loss. Therefore, either force those 2 conferences to schedule 9 in conference games or disqualify any team from consideration who schedules a 2nd division patsy.
