Am I detecting some Musk Derangement Syndrome?
Interesting thing about Henry Ford. People give him credit for the assembly line, but he came up with the idea after watching a butcher’s assembly line cutting up pigs!
I’ve seen 2 of them around Raleigh. Kind of ugly, IMHO. Reminds me a little of Walter White’s car.
I’m all for free choice, as long as there are no government subsidies. If someone wants to buy an electric car, let them. The cars will stand on their own merit in the marketplace.
I’ve seen a few in posh neighborhoods in larger cities but none on the open road. Never park next to one in case it catches on fire.

Still, a lot of customers may be willing to forgive small imperfections in panel gaps or other annoyances if the overall experience is as satisfying as nailing the accelerator. That’s because Tesla isn’t just hawking cars. It’s selling the opportunity to participate in a technical revolution that will see transportation move from fossil fuels to a better, cleaner alternative. Until the traditional manufacturers catch up, there’s lots of value there. The challenge is in balancing speed of innovation with quality.
I see them in the doctor’s parking spaces over at the hospital near me.
The nice thing about an electrical outlet is you can put it just about anywhere and most people already have them in their garage. Try doing that with a gas pump.
