The New York Times on Saturday reported on a mysterious interaction between the U.S. Navy and what could only be called UFOs. The sighting, which took place in 2004, involved a U.S. Navy Aegis cruiser, seven Hornet and Super Hornet strike fighter jets, and a pair of unknown objects. The sighting, which was rumored but unsubstantiated for a decade remains unexplained to this day.
*snip*
According to the Times:
For two weeks, the operator said, the Princeton had been tracking mysterious aircraft. The objects appeared suddenly at 80,000 feet, and then hurtled toward the sea, eventually stopping at 20,000 feet and hovering. Then they either dropped out of radar range or shot straight back up.
[From an excerpt from Carrier Air Wing 11s event summary for November 14, 2004 at source:]
There are several interesting details about the sighting here. For one, there were clearly two unidentified objects. The first was a large underwater object that was much larger than a submarine. For reference, the U.S. Virginia-class nuclear attack submarines are 377 feet long. The object also had some passing resemblance to a downed airliner. This was technically a USO, or unidentified swimming object. Although much rarer than UFOs, such craft have been sighted over the years.

Who has the UFO ping list now?
It wasn’t. It’s from the vast mental hard drives of my housemate on the topic—who has studied the topic since 1962.
Way better than sighing.
It’s clear that you really want this to be the case.
I’ve learned things before. It didn’t kill me.
I’ve also strongly believed things that were not true.
I hope you’re as prepared as I am for either outcome.
Are you Quix? Wasn’t he a psychologist? He used to capitalize a lot of his words, too, like you do. He also had the same Biblical perspective as you. He was also polite to those who were rude to him, just like you.
Just wondering.
If this is such a regular occurrence with traffic control radar, where are the articles in credible aviation related publications and technical journals dealing with signal processing?
I've been a platonic housemate of Q's long enough to see him be brutalized up one side and down the other relentlessly about this topic--usually by normally decent Freepers until this topic came out.
I fiercely believe that my housemate deserves credit for his vast knowledge and well seasoned perspective.
A lot of what I write on the topic is my own words and insights but more of it comes from my extensive conversations with Q in our daily relationship. And, often enough, I take fairly fast dictation as I write to post.
I just think it's more fair and honorable to say "we" because it truly is we--particularly on this topic.
My housemate's predictive accuracy on succeeding events and trends in this field has been plenty good for both our satisfaction and comfort.
That little dude that had his own cereal? Quake's friend?
Funny side note;
One time they had a commercial campaign where Quix and Quake had a race from the east coast to Lompoc, California.
I was team Quix and kept waiting around for them to show up. They never did.
On that day, I became a cynic.
Real question is who do the aliens ally themselves to?
Or have they already been in contact with certain world leaders, say for instance Putan and Trump.
What does Earth mean to then, a theme park? A garbage dump?
A flyby theater?
We ‘channel’ one another but are not the same person. We have grown to think a lot alike and to uses very similar sentence structures the longer we have lived together.
It's a fine strategy, don't you think? It's probably the only way to keep beasts like me in my cage.
I applaud him.

No. Sorry. Sort of tangential to this story - you heard of the elongated object that recently passed through out solar system? Well there is another one just spotted moving though the constellation of Orion in the background - there are apparently other objects associated with it.
The crafts mentioned may be alien or it may be one of ours; we have apparently had this tech for a very long time. The tech is very simple and does not contradict the laws of physics, but operates around them - any speed is possible (even beyond light speed), there are no G-forces on the crew.
Later
I read that as a “no” to the implied question.
The wiki says the Nimitz, but I have no idea if that is true.
You do realize that Q is a child that ran away from home and uses his vast powers to mess with people, right?
One day his parents will be along to collect him. Make sure his rent is current or you'll be left holding the bag.
(serious tip; sorry hour husband died.)
:(
How could I ever forget the guy that raced to my hometown. Lompoc is a small town (26k).

p.s. Quake's a fag.
