He’s only 18 when they took that picture.
That’s what the radio waves did to him.
Do y’all know how goofy you look walking down the street
staring into that little screen?
*************
At least they are driving at that time.....
Straight Talk has worked well for my wife and me. I have a flip phone and my wife has the Android Z716BL.
Ditto. They give me 400min/mo and I pay $17/mo for it; have over 6,000 mins on it. I have a company iPad for messaging and work related stuff.
Old Blackberry with real keyboard. I can type a message twice as fast as someone with a virtual phone. Outstanding smartphone that refuses to die but they don’t make them anymore. Even new Blackberrys have the crappy virtual keyboard the masses have grown accustomed to because they know OF nothing else. :-0
That’s a great selfie! You take it with that phone?
Actually, it does resemble me!..............
Unless your iPhone does not do something that you need it to do and you cant get an app for the phone to do that, I would stick with your iPhone.
A new phone is going to cost you $400 and up.
You know your iPhone. If you buy some other brand you will have to start from scratch learning a new system. With your iPhone you have your data backed up to iCloud and you will not be able to transfer it to your new phone.
My advice is stick with your iPhone until it dies or is no longer supported.
If you have money burning a hole in your pocket take a nice weekend vacation with the money you would have spent on a new phone.
LG-V30
Pricy, but a great phone.
* Snapdragon 835 quad-core CPU
* 64GB of memory (expandable)
* 2,880 x 1,440 OLED display
* 3300 mAhr battery (best battery life I’ve experienced)
* wireless charging
* IP68 rated waterproofing
* best audio out there, if that’s your thing.
I’m an Apple guy from way back so I have an iPhone, but I intentionally lag behind to keep the cost under control. So, I’m rockin’ a 5S. No slowdown here, I resist OS upgrades until forced unless there’s some obvious benefit to upgrading.
You’ll find that Android devices feel jittery and unstable after an iPhone, it’s the same quality that Windows devices have in comparison to Mac OS devices. Apple stuff is far more integrated, not cluttered up with junk from third parties that don’t match, don’t have the same user interface, it goes back to business philosophy.
Apple does the whole widget, soup to nuts. There are certainly strengths to that, and some constraints that you hear the MS/Android fanboys screeching about, it’s fairly locked down as far as mods. MS and Android lend themselves to tinkering and mods. If you’re prone to that, then you’d prefer such an environment but most people view both computers and phones as appliances and just want them to work well.
LG G6 Sprint
I have ATT prepaid, it’s better than the Walmart service we used to have. I’ll never buy a plan again.
I have an HTC android. It’s a good mini computer that makes phone calls. My Dad’s LG was cheaper and very easy to use for those not used to smart phones.
The rest of my family has iPhones. They love them.
Don't know what the Straight Talk system will use but I would not hesitate to continue with Samsung. Just replaced the batteries on our Galaxy S5 and Note 4. They have everything we need so no reason to spend big bucks to upgrade to anything else unless or until they start to spit-up or croak.
A past client was a maintenance engineer at a plant. He was required to have a cell phone on him at all times, even on vacation. So he goes to the Boundary Waters on vacation. No cell phone reception.
iPhone 7 on Sprint. My iPhone 6 was getting wiggy from an old battery, so I upgraded. I usually stay one model behind for lower cost.

The straight talk phones are Tracfones, and you pay more per month and about the same for the phone than buying the same phone from Tracfone.
We have been Tracfone users for about 2 decades. Our current phones use Verizon and work as well and as fast as our Apple Cult family members at a lower price for the Verizon service than they pay.
No one beats the Tracfone yearly service package deals and cheap prices for texting. My wife uses our wifi and texts a few hours a day to relatives, friends and places where she has appts or need them. There is no Verizon charge for texting, because she uses our WIFI.
I have used the Samsung Galaxy Sky for about a year now. It is realiable, the phone is easy to use for texting or phoning. You can use it all day and still have battery time left. I only charge it at night. More on this later. This phone can be bought from Tracfone for $90 and free shipping.
My wife has a 2 month old Galaxy J7/Sky Pro. It has a bigger screen, is faster, and it has better wifi reception than mine, all over the house and our large yard. It takes excellent pictures and the phone is loud and clear with WIFI or Verizon. The op system seems to be better and faster than mine. You can get it from Tracfone now for $150.
Both of these phone come with the Tracfone sims chip installed.
I would advise setting up an acct with Tracfone on your laptop, Chromebook or office computer. Then, you can order your phones from the bigger screens. After you get your new TracFone, it is very easy to set them up from your computer.
You can transfer your current cell phone # to your new Tracfone. That might take a little more time.
You can then order your time/use plan and pay for it online.
When you need more texts or more time/use just go back to their online site and order what you need.
Or you can pay more with another phone and service provider.
Nokia 3585 that I have had since 1999.
It always works and cannot be used as a tracking or listening device.
“Do y’all know how goofy you look walking down the street staring into that little screen?”
I could not agree more. What’s worse is that perfect looking young couple at a restaurant, each staring into their little phone, just typing away. Saying absolutely nothing to each other, I mean nothing, not even occasional eye contact.
Then grabbing the restaurants little computerized meal ordering gadget, selecting an order, then back to their phones. This way they do not even have to talk to a server.
I wonder what these types do when having sex. Text each other or someone else?
