ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - The elder son of former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was in jail on Sunday facing assault and burglary charges in her home state of Alaska.
Track Palin, 28, appeared in state court in Palmer, Alaska, earlier in the day on a felony burglary charge and misdemeanour assault and criminal mischief charges, court records showed. The records indicated all the charges involved domestic violence.
It is not clear whether he entered a plea to the charges.
His legal troubles have prompted his mother in the past to question the support available for military veterans like him who may be suffering from post-traumatic stress.

After his arrest on Saturday, he remained in custody at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer on Sunday afternoon, Megan Edge, a spokeswoman for the Alaska Department of Corrections, said by phone.

Burglary could be taking your own stuff out of your home for a variety of reasons.
I would say that with their millions the Palin’s should have had Track in psychiatric counseling which they can well afford but what they really should have done is get him out of Alaska and situated someplace else.
Alaska is a weird place with a strange conglomeration of really strange people. Mr. GG2 lived there for a short time and his rental house was on the lake in Wassila right down the street from the Palin’s. He helped Todd load up his float plane a couple of times and briefly met Sarah once at the dock. He said the first rule of Alaska is you never ask anybody about themselves. Its a place with a lot of drugs, booze, hillbilly types and skeezy people who don’t want to be found. Family feuding is also big in Alaska. They need to remove him from the mix.
I backed off because I didnt understand it was a domestic thing and we also didnt hear his side.
I spend time with people with famous parents, as well as I adored my parents and I would NEVER have done certain crimes because of how that would affect them. Lots of people do not wish to humiliate their parents. But domestic situation changes things. Maybe he isnt as much at fault.
I lived in Alaska for 45 years, only moving to Denver in 2014. I lived in Juneau in the 40’s and the 60’s, was in Valdez when the oil pipeline was built in the 70’s, and was in Wasilla from 2005,when Sarah Palin ran for Governor, then was selected to run with McCain. I was also there when Track ran afoul of the law the first time. Some families just have more than their share of problems, no matter how hard parents try, pray, and pay. Alaska attracts a lot of diverse personalities, not all of whom are pillars of the community, regardless of their backgrounds.
Only if taking your own stuff is a crime. If entry is made to violate a no contact order, that’s a crime and hence a burglary. Entry without an intent to commit a crime is trespass if entry is illegal.
I watch Live PD each weekend and just learned that if you are given a trespass order and return to that establishment, you are charged with burglary - even if you don’t steal something, that is the charge. So this makes me wonder if he had been given some sort of order not to contact his ex-wife/girlfriend and that resulted in the burglary charge?
They need to remove him from the mix.

He’ll most likely get a removal for some period of time now.
That’s true in my state, especially at Walmart. Also, if a guy goes to his house and enters after a no contact order is issued, and he was told to have no contact, it’s a burglary.
The Eagles are probably the MOST overrated band in the history of Rock and/or Roll music.
I have heard similar things about Alaska. It’s a diverse group of people who live there or even choose to live there. I imagine quite a few want to be left alone or tend to really value their privacy.
Ive said this often but I have a theory that all the vaccinations, medicines and chemicals our military personal are exposed to are creating many mental and physical problems for them. We need an honest, comprehensive review of all these poisons they are injecting into these men. These arent battle fatigue problems, our men are tougher than that.
Trap should have called the police and done the same thing.

Sarah Palin’s son Track arrested on domestic violence charges in Alaska
it was burglary of his parents home and he assaulted his father. he’s addicted to drugs like WAY TOO MANY of our young people.
I doubt it. Joe McGinness was a die hard libtard.
He was a good writer though. Fatal Vision was a really good read.
I think of
Dude Labowski when I hear about
The EAGLES!
HA!
Janet Malcolm took that bum apart in her book. He was always a dishonest reporter. He made Sarah’s life terrible for a period; how was Track or any of her children supposed to withstand the evil liberals’ attack that goes on to this day??
I’ve heard the same things about Alaska. Beautiful place but maybe too isolated for many people? What this country would be like if drugs were not a part of the culture!!! Alaska was once Russia - and we know those people are all alcoholics.
HaShem will hear these prayers LTOS, I know it.
His Dad called the cops and pulled a gun on him.Track is dangerous to himself and others and needs to go into rehab. His parents can’t make him do that because he is an adult. The Judge can.Rehab can help I have seen it.Been there done that.
