Causes of Autism

Autism spectrum disorder has no single known cause. Given the complexity of the disorder, and the fact that symptoms and severity vary, there are probably many causes. Both genetics and environment may play a role.

Genetics. Several different genes appear to be involved in autism spectrum disorder. For some children, autism spectrum disorder can be associated with a genetic disorder, such as Rett syndrome or fragile X syndrome. For other children, genetic changes (mutations) may increase the risk of autism spectrum disorder. Still other genes may affect brain development or the way that brain cells communicate, or they may determine the severity of symptoms. Some genetic mutations seem to be inherited, while others occur spontaneously. Environmental factors. Researchers are currently exploring whether factors such as viral infections, medications or complications during pregnancy, or air pollutants play a role in triggering autism spectrum disorder.

“Seriously, it is not even clear that there is an absolute increase, or whether it’s just labeling: a person who would once have been called “a bit weird” or “very awkward” is now “Autism Spectrum.””

So they changed, ‘weird’ to an actual medical diagnosis which requires intensive testing both mental and physical before the diagnosis is made.

So what’s your point?

…autism is a super masculine consciousness… I’ve found that the thalamus blocks emotional input to the right hemisphere… His abandonment issues with mother were so great that he would fall off his feet forward when I stimulated the memories when he was in his mother’s womb at three months fetal development….He replied that his mother’s father committed suicide while she was pregnant with him. Bingo…We removed the emotional memory from his soul and he immediately looked straight on at me.

You are either a liar or are yourself delusional. I don't rule out that they are mutually exclusive.

It is a huge financial burden on the families dealing with this.

I agree. The money doesn't go to the families: it goes into the school systems. In most states, it's a significant increment on a per-capita basis.

This quote is from the National Education Association: Ever since its initial enactment, the federal law has included a commitment to pay 40 percent of the average per student cost for every special education student. The current average per student cost is $7,552 and the average cost per special education student is an additional $9,369 per student, or $16,921.

Yes, and we are talking about millions of kids drugged and sent to school.

Thimerisol is a preservative they don’t use any more

Except in some formulations of children's inactivated influenza vaccines and in ALL adult flu vaccines that come in multidose vials. Per the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/vaccine/thimerosal.htm

Yeah. NO

No one in my school, my wife’s school or my cousins or kids schools died of chicken pox or measles. We all got a week off from school....and were feeling pretty crappy for a few days.

vaccinations that prevent childhood illnesses may actually be making children more vulnerable to allergic disorders, by changing the natural function of their immune systems.

In my case my immune system is attacking my nervous system and making me allergic to much of the foods most people take for granted. All thanks to a flu vaccine which wasn’t, I assume, tested for that effect. I took the vaccine at age 50. At age 68 I’m still sick from it.

Three years at the child’s demand the next six helping them make sense of it the next six picking up the pieces as they make their own mistakes the next three letting them try on what they want to be as an adult. That’s it. But to do that as a mother and work for another boss who has a higher demand on you is looking for trouble

Not that I know of. Vaccines are mostly bits and pieces or deactivated parts of the specific infectious agents.

Bingo. The "qualifications" were broadened after the initial uproar about vaccines. Naturally, the number of diagnoses increased. Follow the money. Global warming is caused by government grants.

Both my friends children were normal until 3. Her son was a happy chatting child until he turned three and slowly lost the vocalization skills he had developed, and then it was all downhill. His sister made it to around two and a half before her Autistic tendencies started to show, but my friend admits they knew what the were seeing with her, so her son may have been showing those signs a little earlier and they didn’t catch them.

Autism spectrum disorder has no single known cause.

so how come we have increasing numbers of kids showing up on the autism spectrum?

Autism is a real disease and I won't get into that. But I do know the cause of "spectrum disorder" and have the cure.

The cause of the 'disease' is money, and the cure is cutting off the money.

Is this a trick question, or do you genuinely not understand some simple statistical reasoning?

If your criterion for “tall man” is “6’5” or taller,” you will find fewer tall men than if your criterion is “6’0” or taller.” When you change the definition of something, you change the number of people who meet the definition.

This is what has happened with autism. When the criterion was that the person was utterly unable to function ... the person in a corner, beating his head against the wall, screaming when anyone touched him ... you had few people with autism. Now that the diagnosis is “autism spectrum,” it includes many more people.

There may not, actually, be more (or a greater percentage) of people who are “what used to be understood as autistic.” To determine this, we would have to see much more detailed information than “autism spectrum diagnoses.”

“.. women putting off having children until they are 30 or older”.

I waited until after I was 30... I had this weird desire to be married before. :) Seriously though... think about our Grandparents and Great Grandparents.. they had children late as well. Heck, my Dad’s Mom was 50 when she had him and no Autism. Although 50 at the time was considered a bit unusual.. it wasn’t abnormal.

I have scanned through but did not notice the mention of autism researcher Dr. Derrick MacFabe (has several Youtubes).

His theory centers on short chain fatty acids (SCFA) and microbiome disruption. ASD is associated with overproduction of propionic acid (propionates) from dietary and bacterial sources.

Children with developing microbiome are susceptible to disruption from several contributing factors — C-section delivery, lack of breast feeding, vaccines, antibiotics, diet etc. Bacteria that overproduce propionates proliferate.
Propionates are overused as natural food preservatives, especially in wheat and grain products. Adults can tolerate much higher amounts than children with developing neural systems.
Dr. Jacob Wilson in his book “The Ketogenic Bible” suggests that MCT oil or exogenous ketones may help. This would make sense because another SCFA (butyrate) would balance off the propionate.
Dr. MacFabe also recommends limiting dietary sugar and including more fibrous foods. This would favor gut bacteria that generate more butyrate over propionate.

Yes, they do have a higher incidence of many other malformations too.
