In San Francisco, autonomous crime-fighting robots that are used to patrol parking lots, sports arenas, and tech company campuses are now being deployed to keep away homeless people.
The San Francisco Business Times reported last week that the San Francisco SPCA, an animal advocacy and pet adoption group, put a security robot to work outside its facilities in the gentrifying Mission neighborhood. The robot's presence is meant to deter homeless people from setting up camps along the sidewalks.
Last week, the City of San Francisco ordered the SF SPCA to keep its robot off the streets or be fined up to $1,000 per day for operating on sidewalks without a permit, according to the Business Times.

Before And After:
R2D2 will be a rust bucket in no time after the homeless & migrants are finished urinating on it.
They keep making these things sleek, white and clean.
They’d be WAY more effective with blood splatters on them.
Jus’ sayin. I could be their designer, they could afford me.

Homeless pet? The SPCA will take you in! Homeless human? RELEASE THE ROBOTS!!!
Heh! Doggone stairs foiled yet another diabolical robot plot!
The homeless will have that bugger husked and shelled and made into a shelter in no time.
In San Fran, a mobile butt plug will be quite the talk of the town.
Why not put a bag over it’s head?
There must be a risk of people breaking them down doe scrap, or holding them for ransom.
Starting with peeing on them to short them out and corrode everything.
“Ex-ter-mi-nate”
Too bad they aren’t terminator type robots. Rip out a few gizzards.
That would be easy to fix. Install an electric fence charger then let them pee on that!
My only visit was in 1988. Homeless and litter everywhere, September and it was colder there than it was here (yes, I've heard the Twain remark), and just for laughs I checked the classifieds for rentals and sale properties and about had a stroke. None of these problems has improved with time, although it's probably less of a dump. Thanks PROCON.
More room for illegals to commit crimes...
The Agnes Moorehead episode of The Twilight Zone comes to mind.
