Let me say I am extremely disappointed in the loss tonight. I would have stuck with Strange in the primary, but I would have voted for Moore if I lived in Alabama. This is a double loss since Sessions has been such a lousy AG and set the table for this Mueller witch hunt but would have been a reliable Senate vote.
I wish people would understand that the difference between glory and destruction with high risk candidates is pretty slim even in Alabama. The media is the enemy - the communication wing of the DNC and will sabotage R candidates or run interference for D's as the situation requires. How many people know Senator Menendez is a pedophile? How bad does a Senator Strange sound tonight?
Let's not kid ourselves: Moore lost this seat. If any Democrat gave as tepid a response to the pedo charges leveled at him, we'd be all over him. He was stupid, selfish and reckless to have run with this is his past, and the media deliberately waited to expose him until he was locked onto the ballot. They tried to do the same to Trump with the Access Hollywood tape, waiting until well after Trump clinched the nomination but it backfired ultimately because of Trump's dynamism and the weakness of the charges once you get past the crassness of the remark. Still, Trump only won by about 80k votes across some key states.
This country is teetering on the abyss if it's not already fallen into it and we just haven't realized it yet. We need bulletproof candidates because the media is gunning for our guys while they bury stories for any Democrats whose seats might get filled by Republicans, either at the ballot box or appointed by Republican governor. This is the battlefield we have to operate in, and there's nothing we can do about that but not make unforced errors with lousy candidate quality control.

McConnell screwed up and then worked for the democrat in the Senate.

I, too, could offer reasons as to the why of it all, but I am far more concerned right now about what is says about the electorate and how this affect the President's agenda and the future of our country. Yes, even for 2 or 4 years whatever it may be.
So congratulations GOPe, McConnell, Shelby and the rest of your sort, but as for me and my house: God bless and protect the United States of America.

McConnell actively campaigned against his party's nominee. He more than likely orchestrated the smear job against Judge Moore. And you just know he has a greasy ear to ear Turtle grin tonight bragging to Elaine what a bad ass he is. McConnell is part and parcel of our problem.
How many non-swamp GOP candidates have to lose winnable elections before we recognize we are being sabotaged by the GOP-e?

Moore won the Primary and FR (for the most part) was thrilled.
If Strange had won the Primary he would be the Senator from AL until 2020 and he would be Reelected.
Facts is facts. I was not thrilled when POTUS Trump endorsed anyone in the Primary, but maybe his instincts were right on after all.
That being said, wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one fills up first. It is what it is and crying in our Beer just makes it taste like Coors Light.

This is the main problem , add immigrants to hispanics blacks etc in Alabama and you have what a 30% to 40% handicap as just blacks are 25% of the population.

More than half of the Alabama voters simply DID NOT CARE if a pro-abortion, pro-lgbt, global socialist, anti-Trump, PRO-IMPEACHMENT, anti-Trump agenda candidate was elected to Jeff Sessions seat!
HALF OF THE ALABAMA VOTERS CHOSE TO STAB FREEDOM, OUR CONSTITUTION, AND AMERICA IN THE BACK TODAY!
THIS IS THE TRULY SHAMEFUL MESSAGE WHICH SHOULD BE BROUDLY CAST ON THOSE CONSERVATIVE VOTERS WHO WERE TOO LAZY AND INDIFFERET TO VOTE!
