Vonn crossed the finish line in obvious distress, almost one second behind the then-leader, and slumped to the snow. ....

She had strength issues in her back before this competition. No coincidence that she had a medical event. People who know that they are not up for it tend to glom onto the trendy celebrity rage. Has beens. She probably knew it and is signaling for future employment or fame.
