As a previously impeached judge, this further behavior should have been enough for the House Ethics Committee to oust this charlatan from American public life once and for all.

Wasn’t Hastings impeached, convicted and removed for fraud or bribery or something?

I know this will sound Racist and probably will be blocked, but nobody else will say it, so I will. When the total names of those who used the slush fund to pay off their Sexual Harassment claims are revealed, take a look at the number of Black Representatives who are members of the Black Congressional Caucus who are amongst those named. It may be revealing, although the media will never highlight it. Conyers and Hastings may be just the tip of the Iceberg.

This goes further than those who are so lacking in integrity that they use government money as a hush fund. They're compromised beyond being able to govern effectively, for sure. They should go. But who in the US Senate or HOR knew about the fund? Anyone who knew about it and was okay with it should go, too. If it means all of them would have to go, it sure would go a long way toward draining the swamp.

Instead, they're enabling "guilty until proven innocent" witch hunts. And a lot of it is against people who might or might not have human flaws. I'm all for letting the voters decide if the pol who has been targetted never used government money to pay anyone off and hasn't been convicted of anything criminal.

Inasmuch as this is public money, shouldn’t there be a public accounting? Aren’t those the rules?

Anyone using the slush fund to pay off a sexual impropriety is not only a horn dog but also a thief — that slush fund is money that belongs to the tax payers. When will we hear of all the congress critters that used that fund and who was the critter who established such fund? The tax payers have a right to know, or will it take another committee to find out? This is a good job for Mr. Mueller

The filth, corruption, bribery, theft, lying and other assorted criminal activities in the government along with whore mongering and treason is unparalleled in the history of this or any other reasonably free nation. Draining the swamp is the first imperative. Not refilling it is the second. MAGA!

Exclusive: Taxpayers Paid $220K to Settle Fla Democrat Alcee Hastings sex mess / Roll Call / FR Posted by springwater13

The Treasury Dept paid $220,000 in a previously undisclosed agreement to settle a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment that involved Florida Democrat Alcee L. Hastings, according to documents obtained by Roll Call. Winsome Packer, a former staff member of a congressional commission that promotes international human rights, said in documents that the congressman touched her, made unwanted sexual advances, and threatened her job. Hastings also asked her the type underwear she wore.

At the time, Hastings was the chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, where Packer worked. Hastings has called Packer’s charges “ludicrous” and in documents said he never sexually harassed her. “Until this evening, I had not seen the settlement agreement between the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) and Ms. Packer,” the congressman said in a statement Friday night.

“This matter was handled solely by the Senate Chief Counsel for Employment. At no time was I consulted, nor did I know until after the fact that such a settlement was made.” Hastings said that the lawsuit that Packer filed against him and an investigation by the House Ethics Committee were ultimately dismissed. “I am outraged that any taxpayer dollars were needlessly paid to Ms. Packer,” he said. Nobody believes this jackass. Get out now Hastings. This means you.....and cough up the 220,000.
