St Moritz, Switzerland (CNN)A number of US athletes have spoken out against Donald Trump during his presidency -- and skier Lindsey Vonn has become the latest to have her say. Targeting Olympic gold at February's Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Vonn is in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where she spoke passionately about what it means to compete for the US ski team. "Well I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president," Vonn told CNN's Alpine Edge.

So Vonn and the rest of the so called Olympians that deride our President can just suck eggs, I won't be watching.
She is kind of stating the obvious isn’t she. I agree she should just shut up and ski.
Even if one did, NBC would not have shown it anyway. Disrespect Dear Leader? It's not done.
BTW, most athletes sacrifice so much to *win* a Gold Medal that they would never besmirch their moment of glory with a political statement. Only hardened professionals (NBA players, for example) would think so little of winning the gold as to sully it with politics.
So what and who cares?
These days I root for the individual athletes anyway, regardless of the country they represent.
A lot of UF grads compete for other countries, I’d rather root for them, than necessarily for someone competing for the USA.
Lindsey Vonn hasn’t made enough of a comeback to earn a spot on the team yet, but that won’t matter...
She will need to be faster than a speeding bullet to win that contest.
