I have a friend who used to go to Cuba two or three times a year until he found a girl to bring back and marry.
He would take a wide assortment of consumer goods to trade. Clothes, toilet seats, toilet paper, and bicycles were most prized.

We were in Havana in July. They had already run out of toilet seats. We were told to bring our own toilet paper. I guess communism only works until you run out of someone else’s toilet paper.
